You took the words right out of my mouth.
I think you stole mine, actually.
Right now, I did. Earlier, I didn't. :)

Regardless of who took who's words out of who's mouth, I've just been out and had a look.
The running track is still there and would make a fantastic dirt-track for bike racing.
Also at the moment the paddling pool is drained, and the path round it might make a decent circuit. Tarmac's a bit ropey though. And if you're feeling really adventurous the BMXers and fixie trixters have snuck into the new skate bowl already and were giving it a testing.

I mean the actual effect of the one-way system on people's transportation needs. One-way streets are off-putting for cyclists. Yes, you can go through the park, and I do that, too. But it does mean that fewer of 'our' people go there, too. They're affected as much as other members of the public.
It's in Hackney. You can get it sorted Oliver.

did someone say the old running track?

:-)Yes, we're on it. LB Hackney agrees with us, too. I hope that it'll happen within the lifetime of the next Local Implementation Plan (2014-17), as a Major Project.

I think Oliver might have mentioned it.

-
• #8360
i think i want to do a survey in the near future...
excuse me mr hoody, but why do you cycle on the busy pavement when the road is perfectly clear? -
• #8361
"cos my mum won't let me ride on the road"

In one-way streets, many riders go contraflow along the footway, yes. I would bet that there's less footway cycling in Hackney, in relation to the amount of cycling, than elsewhere in London. We also unfortunately still have some legacy contraflow cycle paths on the footway.

Sorry guys, moved further north and the wedding is taking a disproportionate amount of time. Made it to Norths once, but that's about it for me for the next month or two.
Numbers at the Sov always seemed alright and it was certainly lively. Maybe it's just holiday season?
-
• #8367
I went to the Sov cos it was near, I haven't been to the Brit cos it's far. This is what dictates my actions, your experience may differ.

TfL suggests that the average journey time between the two pubs (cycling) is 13 minutes.
Bet you could do it quicker. -

No "practically" about it you are family but I think BQ was referring to My better half's freely dished and and gratefully received sartorial advice.

You listen to your better half's sartorial advice, but never act on it?
