This is a fair point. With the William IV I happen to live not that far away but if I lived in, say, Whitechapel I might think twice on a school night.

If my evening off is on Thursday I don't moan about going to the Wests. Man up!

That's great, but not everyone has either has the time or motivation to be riding that distance for a beer on a school night. I go to souths occasionally, but Easts is far closer so I'm more likely to go there on a regular basis. Easts is also dead so that's the clincher!

That's why some members who actually live in East London will skip drinks in Stoke Newington or Islington.
