I wasn't complaining about the Eastness of East Drinks... by all means come further East (then I might actually cycle there), but to a less dodgy area.
Its London.

The decision was made while i was on tour and it was about time. They weren't doing us any favours....especially EEI but we won't say any more on that one ;-)

I'd be up for it, I only didn't come out to Leyton cos I couldn't make it. This forum is meant to be about beer and bikes no?
-
• #6613
I'd do Theydon Bois. I guess it depends on the quality of the pubs there.

Eh? London Fixed Beers,Siders & Spirits.
Yes of course, but the main point of the nightly beers is to catch peeps somewhere not too far away to drop by on their way home. Theydon Bois is not dropping by. It's an organised ride.

This is a fair point. With the William IV I happen to live not that far away but if I lived in, say, Whitechapel I might think twice on a school night.

If my evening off is on Thursday I don't moan about going to the Wests. Man up!
-
• #6617
No moaning from me, I'd ride a long way for beer... Suppose it depends how "into" forum drinks you are.

It's my hobby

That's great, but not everyone has either has the time or motivation to be riding that distance for a beer on a school night. I go to souths occasionally, but Easts is far closer so I'm more likely to go there on a regular basis. Easts is also dead so that's the clincher!

That's why some members who actually live in East London will skip drinks in Stoke Newington or Islington.

What do I win as its the wrong side of the river?

It's BlueQuinn's job as far as I can tell.
-
• #6623
that's the problem. nobody wins. :(
i will be in attendance as this week is in clapton, which i can certainly make unless work breaks my balls.
