Apologies, I've had a very long complicated day and I just need a nice sit down and a cup of tea.
The small penised twat who took umbridge to my taking the primary position in front of him on Newington Green roundabout and chased me for a mile trying to ram me off my bike probably didn't help - was glad of the cars I managed to keep between us though. After he first tried to kill me he pulled up alongside and wound his window down, and I asked him what the hell he was trying to do, he literally screamed, like a proper mental breakdown type scream. He then started beeping at the cars between me and him because they were preventing him from catching up with me.
I hate tube strikes.

Was totally up for a beer but last-minute plans for beers with an old friend in town took precedence. Sorry I missed it tonight.

I'm surprised it actually happened. I was sitting the since 6pm.
The area was bit shit, but the bitter was cheap and tasty, the company was limited but fine, so I'm quite pleased with myself. -

Oh, whoever didn't make it is a fucking pussy not an Eastender. Bunch of bleedin' Shoreditch twits yous lot.

Home safe and sound.
Lovely pub but some of the clientele that were present on my arrival looked like they'd punch somebody's lights out if you even smiled.
I suppose that is the kind of person who attends East BeersThen Blue Quinn turned up and all was okay... -

I though he supposed to look like a tough East End bloke. -

I wouldn't mind getting there, but to Stoke or Islington or Middlesex.

i quite enjoyed that pub. great beer at prices much lower than other pubs.
and the ride there and back was good. so mild out there tonight. and to be honest for me the ride is as important as the beer and social. so nice one.

Glad you all survived and that the borders agency let you back in.

I was a bit worried when I got there that it was full of shaven headed louts, but then I realised with my new phil mitchell haircut I'd fit right in. They all left when the match finished. The Arse losing to a team I've never heard of. Shakatak or something.
The beer was really nice but I have a headache this morning. The ride was good, except I was busy smoking a roadie who was sucking my wheel, and just getting fast enough to drop him when there was a little hill and I had to maintain my speed all the way up it, whilst still sitting down and whistling and not looking like I was making any effort at all. Which was a bit difficult. Me and small hills have history, but you can't look like you are trying, it spoils the effect.
The company was lovely as always. I would have been there earlier but Bobbinbird was ill so I had to sort out food and things before I left. but it did mean I got to ride instead of take the bus.

Yeah, Essex ffs.
Next week normal service is resumed, with the Elderfield in Hackerney.
I have a band rehearsal that night in the Borough so I'll probably not make it. Might get there just before closing. -

Was a good eve, very impressed by the ale selection (and price). Might have to start going there; on non-football days.
-
• #6597
Hm, forgot they might be showing the football.
I would have come down if I could. Amazed at people complaining about the East-ness of East drinks. :/

I liked that pub, great beer, ridiculously cheap, a few characters (bloke in full Ganja leaf/Amsterdam outfit), really nice chatting, had a good night!
Cheers. -

Get well soon bobbinbird.
I may make it on wednesday but might not. It all depends on work.

I wasn't complaining about the Eastness of East Drinks... by all means come further East (then I might actually cycle there), but to a less dodgy area.
YES! Come back, Blue Quinn and others now here and the people who looked like they'd punch out your lights seem to have left.
