Provisionally in for tomorrow

Had I spent my time reading Plato or Socrates rather than Herodotus,
I might be in a position to agree.Well, Socrates famously never wrote anything, so you might be limited to Plato. :)

Fair warning though, I was the reason for the demise of Easts.
And I thought Yorgo invented polo.
-
• #14780
I might be in for a quick pint after 7ish

Great! But note I'm not around tonight (can't do last Wednesdays). I'll be back next week--perhaps meet you then?
Obviously, drinks formerly didn't need anyone to post on the thread to say they'd be there, as there was always someone there. Ideally, we'll get back to that. In the meantime, especially if you're made nervous by it being your first Easts, it's probably quite defensible to solicit other expressions of interest. :)

I thought you meant today.

I usually don't go to a pub for a beer on my own, I am fine doing that at home. :)
In light of the above, anyone around tonight? Not sure I can do next Wednesday, but there will be other chances for sure.

I thought you meant today.
I did, but I was calling on others to uphold the fine tradition in my absence--see post directly above.
-
• #14784
I missed that. Cool, well, unless anyone replies in the next hour or so I guess it will be another time..
-
• #14785
Unfortunately I cannot make it this week,
as I have Dad-ding duties.
Maybe next week. -
• #14786
I've started a thread for 'Eats and Easts':
https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/333163/
Please add suggestions/start lists/put your name on lists.

• #14787
I take it this didn't happen?
Anyway, I'm in for next week, with a meal of some sort beforehand. Votes/suggestions for where to go in the other thread ^, please.
-
• #14788
It did not. I am riding after work next week, might come by after, but unlikely
-
• #14789
I also plan to attend soon!

• #14790
Apologies,
the 1st Wednesday of each month sees me otherwise engaged.
Wherever you choose,
have a good one! -
• #14791
I'm in and as previously mentioned will be going for food nearby before going to the pub. If nobody else suggests anything I want to try the vegan fish and chip shop in Graham Road.
-
• #14792
Bump for tomorrow.
6pm at the vegan Sutton & Sons in Graham Road?
Or would people prefer to go to Cook Daily again?
-
• #14793
I'm unfortunately otherwise engaged again this week
-
• #14794
Ah, shame, perhaps see you next week?
-
• #14795
Right, it doesn't look as if we're getting something together for tonight (unless somebody objects), so let's hopefully do next week.
-
• #14796
Yep next week is good for me
-
• #14797
Good to hear. Do you want to do Cook Daily again or try somewhere else?
-
• #14798
I’d be happy to try somewhere else I reckon
-

I'm only up for the pub bit I'm afraid.
I've really been wanting to get over to this, but dadding keeps getting in the way. Hopefully, next week.
Fair warning though, I was the reason for the demise of Easts.
