Very Very Very Cold!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Was about 6/7c for the qualifying heats!
Got to final of handicap and semis of the international sprint, not bad for an old bugger. Team mate Pete won the handicap and came third in the sprint.
Mark got some good experience at a big open meet and said he had a good day.
So good day all around for the brighton crew and the weather held off well appart from a couple of very quick showers that didnt really hold things up.

was so cold down there...missed the rain and hail and lightning and thunder on my way home, but it was a serious battle against the wind all the way to Belsize...

Hailstorm hit me just south of tower bridge, got of and hid under some scaff. Perhaps I should HTFU.
Cold all day, but had loads of fun. Good racing, good people, good weather (just), what more could anyone want?

I was doing so well on the way back...all smug and thinking...yeah...I TOTALLY timed this right...It chucked down on me from Wandworth to Putney (all uphill) and came close to getting blown over by some of the gusts. It was wierd seeing VB+1 as I came out of the Threshers near my house though. (me in USPS hat)..that was high on the unexpected scale.
Here are my sporadic pics from yesterday (apologies for NOT having a fish eye lens)
It was really outstanding to meet all of you in the flesh yesterday and at the drinks on Thursday night.
Thanks for the very warm welcome and the good company. Looking forward to Sunday.

it pissed the fuck down, so some of us decided to stay in the pub.
I think some of us stayed in the pub a little too long ;)today I'm nursing a hangover and am amazed I got home without crashing or even losing a bar end plug
