Don't worry Lu, we can turn around once we've got past the half way mark if you're scared it won't be long enough.

Dude. I've just worked out the 17th ride is the day of the Secret London.
That's going to be a nice day. Mountain bikes in the morning, Fixed wheels in the evening. -

Mashton, how small is small?
Ideally I'm looking at buying one of the rucksacks so I can carry some tools and things. -

Mashton, how small is small?
Ideally I'm looking at buying one of the rucksacks so I can carry some tools and things.I have a Da Kine helipack rucksack (nice size for riding with) that has a camelbak pouch and tube guide. I have the small camelbak bladder to go in it, that holds about a litre.
I can get a photo up if you're interested in borrowing them?

Let me see what I come up with in the next few days. Chances are you may get a panicked call from me on Saturday though ;]
-
• #90
I'm off to Cambridge on Friday night, not back till Saturday evening...
-
• #91
No worries, I can always pick it up on Sunday evening / maybe in a pub or something?
-
• #92
That could work. PM me if you need it? Also, my phone number is in the numbers thread.
-
• #93
Prav, I'm going to be offline from about 2 hours time until Monday.
This weather is going to leave us with a very muddy ride :] -
• #94
we'll see how the 2.1"s manage - is it going to be boggy then?
I think I need new brake pads.
I will get a map - do we need a compass mr orienteering? ;-)
Lets coordinate by phone, over. -
• #95
Understood. Compass may be sensible but then we're not so we'll be fine without one.
I'm going to be seriously impressed if we finish this ride.
Roger on the phone.
Out. -

A guy on the Whitehorse ride was struggling with his wrapped Soreen...
he said "it's Soreen and peanut butter though, it's worth it!!!"
I've never tried the combo so can't vouch for it myself. -
• #98
why wrap it???? just slap it on your frame butter side down.
-
• #99
despite the criticism of my energy food of choice, i am still up for this ride
can somebody going pls pm me their number or just msg me the details of where we're meeting and what time etc....
