I can't do the next couple of weekends but really want to test out my new bike. Any one up for a decent ride on 21 or 22 June. I've got a good loop around a few of the hills near Dorking. Will Prav make it the week after MM or will be all mayhemed out?

I'll make it! Just to see your giant sized bike.
I hope to have improved enough so that i don't walk any of the singletrack... -

prav and roberto, if i don't see you before enjoy the mayhem and good luck ;-DI'm not surprised - I managed to completely confuse myself! I'm going to do a longish loop (20 - 25 miles) around the Dorking hills on 28 or 29 June. A few decent hills and lots of nice singletrack. Prav's definitely coming and I'm sure Rob can be persuaded. Everyone else is welcome to come too!

Something about a semi-punctured lung - Trampsparadise got a text yesterday about it - Provenrad posted something about it on the West Bike Polo thread - no details I'm afraid

I dropped out after 6 laps mate.. 5 crashes and 10 chain deraillings (need new freewheel) chest pains + back pain. Legs felt fine though! Doing it fully rigid was difficult!
I went for x-ray yesterday, seems I slightly messed up a rib and also earned a partially collapsed lung (spontaneous pneumothorax) :-OThis has totally fucked up my training plans. I shouldn't ride at all till the weekend.

Prav - I got your message and think I would be able to join you guys and ride. Give me a shout and let me know. Hope your lung is ok, sounds like you need gears on that frame since the ENO is causing so much grief!

I'm up for it dude! Will need to sort some stuff out quickly though i.e. lights and a gear shifter. Anyone have a 9 speed shimano shifter they don't want? I can't face doing it singlespeed after reading the course description - there's a 1.5 mile climb at the start of every lap!

I have a 10 watt (2x5) halogen setup you can borrow. I don't think it would last 6 hours on double beam though, I think that would be it's limit on single beam.
Can't do the weekend after as it's Jonny's ride on the saturday and you know I can't miss polo.
Good luck on the 12hours dude.
