Sweat + aluminium is not a good combo....

How very dare you. A lady does not sweat!

Have got a new Wahoo Kickr and no idea what I'm doing. Installed Zwift and connected to the Kickr, it found it straight away, but then a few seconds later says 'no signal'.
Quick google suggests I'm not the only one. Is Zwift just shit? Or am I doing it wrong?

Maybe there's some Zwift spurts: https://www.lfgss.com/conversations/270470/

Just tried with Trainer Road, same problem :/

Are you trying to connect via Bluetooth or ANT + ?
-
• #2809
Make sure nothing else is trying to connect to it - your phone, other laptops etc.
I had an extremely frustrating 30 mins at 7am the other morning pulling sensors off my bike until I worked out Alisha's laptop was stopping mine connect to the Kickr. Best to turn off BT on everything except your laptop, at least for problem solving.

Did you use their app? Disconnect that shit. "Turn off your phone bluetooth"*.
*something everyone should do always

Bluetooth. It turned out that it didn't like connecting with Bluetooth via my Mac. It's actually a hackintosh so I restarted into the PC side and it was fine.
Have just done my first (pathetic) ramp test but that's after a few weeks off the bike with probable coronavirus so I'm just pleased to have managed half an hour on a turbo without passing out all in!

I had also done this and forgot, yes 🤦♂️

Yeah they're weird like that huh. I 'enjoyed' it though. Suspect I'll be making a lot of use of it in the near future!

I have a Tacx vortex smart turbo (wheel on) my bike has full mudguards. No issue. You're looking at direct drive so back wheel might be an issue..

Anyone know of an alternative qr skewer that would work with a Cyclops Fluid 2 trainer?
-
• #2816
All the skewers I've seen with trainers closely resemble to basic Shimano closed-cam kind.
So Shimano, Tacx, Elite, Minoura, Saris, Kinetic etc are basically all the same thing
Just make sure it has a metal nut at the end, as the plastic ones can get chewed up

Cheers, the planet X one is nicely priced and may do the trick. Now for a sacrificial tyre, don't want to waste my Spesh Turbo on the Turbo

:)

• #2821
Any ol Continental, or is there a specific one to sacrifice to the alter of the turbo?
-
• #2822
23mm Sport Contact but anything will suffice for the sacrifice

23mm Sport Contact
Sounds a bit fancy. You can get an Ultrasport for a tenner

You don't PAY for Conti.

Retested today for a 12 watt gain, now at 255.
I had wondered if I could combine the two, but it'd be more of a wheelie.
