  • The muin is terrible, DO NOT BUY.

    Get the Lemond Revoloution.

  • my wheel is fine, an open pro, not over worn and yet it seems to puncture about 1 in 10 rides, usually about 20 minutes into a session when i am just warmed up and i have not found how to get trainerroad to allow me to skip over the warm up if i start again

  • At the moment I'm in a flat training in a Wash room. So need it to be quiet.

Should be OK With a niosey once I get something permenant sorted.

Something like the Lemond or that mntal looking Kiwi one Amy linked would be could. Need to sav up an also sell my super magneto pro.

  • Quieter I can believe. More stable?

Don't use race tyres on your turbo?

  • I'd like to give one a try but I like having my bikes ready to ride so having to remove the wheel to use the turbo is no go for me. Last night I rode TT bike home from work, chucked turbo outside, hit it, threw turbo inside, laid down. Any delays in that process and I'm likely to just open a beer and forget about the turbo...

  • Dodgy rim tape? Burr on the turbo roller?

  • nothing visible, and i use a turbo tyre

  • one day i hope to have a dedicated turbo space, with a tv and turbo bike permanently set up

  • Has a pleasant Wooden conservatory.

You'll need thick blackout curtains, at least 4-6" of insulation and a couple of portable heaters.

  • Probably no more time to put it onto a direct drive than a normal wheel turbo.

  • They do look more stable. Ultimately the frame is clamped at the drop outs in both Versions. SO that might be BS.

I use a turbo tyre. I've retaped the rim and allsorts.

  • I think Direct drive will be quicker. At least if you have a dedicated turbo Wheel usually.

  • I have a thermal onsie I can put on.

  • might need to chop in my lemond for one of those tacx neos

I'd love a Neo, but have you seen how big they are?! I'd need a new house. If you do look to sell the Revolution, give me a shout.

  • I have that.

    I call it my "bedroom".

  • Where on the tube are they flatting? Inside or outside?

  • outside, which is why it's so frustrating. i think a few of them have been splits along the seams of the tubes

  • Have you ever tried to remove one of my quick release skewers? Methinks not.

It takes me seconds to drop my bike into my turbo. It normally takes me minutes of swearing to remove my welded in QR skewer :P

  • You will also be wrong then, since I use my normal wheels. No special wheel.

  • What pressure are you running them at? Are they near the valve hole? Keep an eye on where they happen (why I always line up the tyre label with valve hole) so if it's rim tape/tyre in one spot you can find it.

  • What pressure are you running them at? Are they Continental near the valve hole? Keep an eye on where they happen (why I always line up the tyre label with valve hole) so if it's rim tape/tyre in one spot you can find it.

  • Heat and poorer quality tubes? I had a spate a while back that I think I cured with a schwalbe inner and 100psi.

  • i think it is the cheap inner tubes i get through work

  • I think my issue is leaving the roller pressed against the tyre overnight.

To be honest it all makes me too angry have an opinion more technical than 'FUCK OFF TURBO MUPPET!'

  • Gonna go for the Tacx Flow... picking it up from Halford later...
