Having brake levers on a bike with no brakes is mega wank.

It's only just acceptable to have an unconnected second brake lever to even things out.

Not even slightly. If your forks are drilled for a brake why not put one in? Why take it off in the first place? It really annoys me when I see brakeless conversions rolling around. As for track drops on conversions, it's such a fashion show thing, I hate it. Put risers on or better yet road bars with hoods and brakes. Of course people should do whatever they want with their bikes and if you love your bike and riding it then I love you - whatever the fuck you have done to the poor thing.

I hope you don't ride a track frame on the road then, because it would seem to follow that you would think that would be similarly retarded.

I'm currently commuting on a cycloX frame with off-road drops, MTN gears + brakes, and time trial gear levers.

Mixing it up, is what its about ;)
