Claimed weight (using Italian scales) is 265g for a 27.2x270, a Thomson cut to the same length would be 211g. If you wanted to make a Thomson that heavy, you'd need to increase the wall thickness of the shaft by about 50%
shirley 1.5 x the material=1.5 x the weight?

i reckon i could build up one of these frames to look nice, i definitely wanna try my luck. someone sell me an xl for cheep cheep ;)

No, because you're not changing the amount of material in the head and clamp, and increasing shaft wall thickness by 50% at a constant OD doesn't add 50% to the shaft weight anyway. And stop calling me Shirley.

Mismatched wheels, death trap Miche Supertype post, nasty triple triangle, nose down saddle pushed forward suggests the bike doesn't fitAWESOME, thanks for posting my bike!
I've fixed a lot since then, check the current projects thread. I can help everything but the triple triangle. the front wheel was stolen while my bike was locked for 10 minutes - thats why i threw that spinergy on there for a while. yes the saddle angle was wrong. and now the chain is nice and tight with matching wheels and no brake for racing. btw I will probably never brake a seatpost, i'm a lightweight.

Awesome turnaround, that bike is looking hot now.

atanz, i would think posting your renewed bike in both porn and current projects threads is enough already, but you went out to do it in anti-porn as well, particulary using badly back-lit picture. i wonder what might be the reason for such? ;)

Function Over Form
Looks like one of Wiggins' 6-day bikes, when it was function over form. The current set up just looks like it's for somebody who needs to work on their flexibility
-
• #7019
i don't think that simply having a set-up that fits, regardless of whether the person needs to work on their flexibility, means the bike is anti-porn.
Its not porn either, simply a functional bike with mostly decent components.
-
• #7020
This has neither form nor function. It'd be more aero with drops than tribars that high up. Gearing looks a bit low too, unless the owner's quite slow.... which he might well be given the position.
The frame would make a very nice track bike, at the moment it's set up poorly for it's intended use. = anti porn, for me.
