Everyone bangs on about how good these frames are. Why is the tyre pretty much touching the seat tube, yet the axle is right at the back of the dropout? Their not even big tyres. Chainstay length FAIL.

1 the back tyre is very thick height wise and slim width wise

2 K Yamaguchi trained at 3 rensho and was the builder for the usa olympic team

3 every single yamaguchi is built by him from start to finish and all a brazing and detailing quality like no other.

EDIT also for the record, that is only anti porn for a few choices, notable the wheels chainset and pedals, the rest is not far from a decent build

Also missing the fact that the seat tube has a concave cross-section that allows the wheel to slide a little inside the seat tube to create aerodynamic advantage.

So yes, when a smaller tyre is used, it would allow it to slide forward in the drops and still have clearance... though the clearance would'n't be visual.
