them wheels would cost you something like £200 to build
They also don't match.
Apart from the front rim we've got no idea what the other parts are. But yeah it seems daft to have what look to be a reall nice set of (unmatching) modern wheels and a cottered crank.

Shit - just like that ugly Benetton look of the early 90's...... multi colour vomit
Nothing is wrong with multi color, it just needs to be the right colors...
edit: woops.. racist! ;)

This one's close to being right imo. Black bars (drop)and stem lose the spacers/seat pin, black spuds, stickers off job done. I likes it.

Raliegh records are awesome!
My fixed was based around one of those absolutey loved it. I got a bit carried away with practicing fixed wheel bunny hops so its now departed.
Its only the enormous sized ones that looked wank.
Anyway, look at what I spotted on thursday:

I never even noticed!
That bike would ride horribly, mine rides quite well now. It works best with wide upright bars as the wheelbase is sooooo long and steering so relaxed.

^^
For some reason that really reminds me of this guy. Especially if he was naked and wearing a pair of white socks & sandals.
Who is this guy, and what is the deal with him?

he's the UK bike polo champion, sponsored by specialized.

You'd think that thats why he has the special Polo t-shirt.
But he just really like the mints.

dead to me
you guys are harsh. Some of the bikes on the last two pages just make me feel a bit "aah... he tried" about the owners. They probably think their bikes are totally rad - I agree they don't quite hit the mark but fair play for trying. Pengy stylez y'all..
aaaahhhhh.
couldn't agree more with tomasito about the "dry your eyes" decal though - ironic perfection, as it instantly makes you indeed dry your eyes and start cracking up at the waste of money achieved by just one sticker.
And the richard james one has made me lose a lot of the old respect I had for RJ as a designer. Stick to what you know dude, your zany silk socks are spot on. The decals are so unbelievably pompous (even when they're spelt right) I ain't sure what kind of joey buys seomthing like this - noone in my world that's for sho.
