the wheel base seems really tight, and wtf kind of angle would one's hips need to be to use it? Porn imho for absurdity

Wrong
Correct me if I'm wrong, it's a bike that gives the same hand position with bullhorns as the lower section of drops on a standard geo bike.
Something like that? -

Something like that

Is there a reasonable account anywhere of the design logic behind that Colnago?
-
• #34161
looks like the full drop position never gets used, dirty tops though

I assume it's a semi-prone design, as discussed in the lo-pro thread, and that the driving force was, as usual, a desire to reduce drag. I'm not sure that semi-prone actually does reduce drag compared with a well optimised conventional position.

The question you have to ash is this; wood the Plank-art brothers, elder statesmen of Belgian cycling, pine for a bike like that? If they wood, then it's oak-A by me too, but I suspect that, like me, they are sick o' more and more idiots taking the plane and simple bicycle and turning it into something worse in their attempt to spruce it up.
