I think they came out early 90's - remember having them as a kid.

I am ashamed to admitt this, but I was pondering the following not so long ago.
If rotational weight is bad for acceleration, but is good for stability, and constant speed, once that steady speed is achieved. Then the fact that spokey-dokeys start off near the hub and move toward the rim when moving at speed, would make them ride enhancers.
Just wait for next years TDF!
Spokey-dokeys FTW(But not for the climbs though. That would be silly)
there actually is a set of wheels made on this principle; weights on springs that move out to the rim at a certain RPM.

Fantastic!
(thought popped into my all too vacant mind while reading around the 26r vs 29r debate) -

on ebay now for those interested!

that just reminded me of this, it was brought into the shop the other day with a bag of parts and a "can you make this work". I didn't take a picture of it but the crank was a double ring riveted type with the outer ring cut off with a angle grinder.
What do you mean a free wheel wont work as a lock ring?
and yes the bars dont reach the end of the grips.

Theres an obvious solution to the problem above,
Just point something like this at the owner and pull:
Seriously though, that beggars belief! I wouldnt take that on, too much effort explaining the logic to the owner, and I definetly wouldnt want to let it out the workshop without a full set of new parts including handlebars, brakes, chainset, lockring etc..
Can you imagine how a person like that rides in the street? If they are stupid enough to cut the bars that short etc because of a trend, theyll probably try to hitch on the back of a truck riding their unusual suicide hub etc etc

That's the first real-anti porn in ages that didn't hinge on taste.
How short did they cut the bars? -
• #1709
yeah it sat in the stand for and hour while i listed the many reasons i wouldn't work on it then called the owner and told them to come and pick it up in exactly the same state it was when they dropped it off.
That's the first real-anti porn in ages that didn't hinge on taste.
How short did they cut the bars?the bars only went to the end of the third 'knobble' on the grips, the last one and the end was completely unsupported.

If trasformers were gay bicycles
I may regret typing this but...
I like this bike.
It is obviously put together with a sense of humor, and would most likely be a comfy bike to ride. It looks to be incredibly practical too.(*Disclaimer: I understand that this is a girls bike, and thus would'nt ride it myself, as I am male. So, how very dare you!)

If trasformers were gay bicycles
I'm sorry but having a giant, transparent dildo on the front is just too wrong.

better then having it on the back?

Pretty sure that is the same peugeot frame that I have. Same lugs, same cut outs and same forks.
It a pity the bike could have been alright :(

What the hell could the possible benefit be from that thing? I can't think of a single one. I can see whole lot of drawbacks though.
