Can you not get a cable guide brazed onto the seatstay?
Like this;
I did ask the framebuilder about that, however it appear that there's not much room at all, I lowered the cable holder down and notice that if it were in-line with the seatstay, there's little room for the cable to bend, unless it's through the seattube/seatpost;
We're discussing it here since it's pretty much the right place for it according to every forumeanger in this side of the internet.
I don't think it look half bad, took a better photos of it today;
v brakes surely?
I have xt on my lht with Tektro v drop levers...Because your drop levers work is designed to work with v-brake.

no.
Why? Is there something fundamentally wrong, or is it just that there's better options?
Personally I'd have gone for discs.
I like this. Yes its hideous, but imo it works.

Don't mean to be harsh to fat people, but brakeless with no clips and the extra weight...no way hes stopping!

Use a Nokon cable, that'll cope with the bend.

Already on order, gun metal finish, good recommendation though.

Theres even less space under the stays. The problem with disc tabs is being able to align the caliper throug the range of wheel positions. Might'nt be a problem, but canti tabs, is an easier solution.
Looks fine Ed. sort the new wheel and ride it.

...............My physicist brother says it looks like its symoltaneously experiencing blue AND red shift at the same time. I.e. there is likely a black hole just behind their back wheel, probably somewhere between 1985 and 2002.

I love it how Ed's already posting updates of his BMW Gangstein, directly to Anti-Porn.
Rolf. Best Anti-Porn ever. -

My main beef with Ed's bike is the relation seatpost height/tt length/really compact geo.
I may be wrong here, but the centre of balance seems way too high, almost
makes it look like the fork is bent (front crashed)... there's no way.
It looks fucked up... -

I like the fact that you have 'beef' against certain bicycle nuknow, especially since they're inanimated object.
And I have a shorter than average chest, which mean I still can give you a good punch up the bracket sumo.

I have xt on my lht with Tektro v drop levers, there is no problem with modulation whatsoever, whether theres any luggage on or not. They're the best brakes I've had to date.
I think a completely clean solution would be pretty tough. I like the idea of internal cabling exiting from the back of the top tube straight onto the canti hanger. Again means drilling the post as well which would suck but it would look neat and the angle looks spot on.
Still looks a hell of a lot of fun.
