More NAHBS fodder. It's the minor details over aesthetic whole approach.

how do you brake on this machine? looks like a super-uncomfortable position to reach the brakes from...
With your knees.

Indy fab are nice, but for me they are usually a bit overcomplicated. This however, is a travesty. SO much potential. I have no idea how they could take this to a bike show.
The rear brake and it's cable routing especially piss me off.
Agreed, dreadful.

Mismatched brakes only looks acceptable on trials bikes.
Fork is ugly, so's the paint but it could be lovely. -

waaay too much things going on with that purple independent. Chrome mudguards & thomson seatpost & stem?
Its a step though frame right, so lets try and imagine what kind of dress the rider would be wearing...

Inspired by Sumo's success with a Visp, I chanced £150 or so with some dude in China who certainly came up with what he promised, which was nice: Frame, forks, headset and seatpost.
The rest is as it looks.
Which, now I take a closer look is a weird stem length and angle which feels fine when you ride it...
Turns out that the eigthinch bars are an odd-ish size (26.0mm) which limited stem choice.
No holes for a bottle holder was annoying as I now have to cycle with what appears to be a bidon about to be fired from my arse.
And yes, I know that the Gatorskins logos don't line up with the valves...Anything inspired by Sumos visp is surely cursed?
*sorry

Thanks Malaysian - I thought it was bad form to post one's own bike in the porn thread.
Wait, where are we... anti-porn?? WTF??
Damn you, damn you all to hell...

Black & purple would've been ok
Black & gold also...
but the 3 together?
Also stem/bars...
looks like the frame is on the small side?

I can't argue with any of that...
Purple cranks are tough to find, perhaps I should have stuck with black...That was the max size VISP available. Nominally a 58cm but clearly centimetres aren't what they once were in the good old PRC!
-
• #15573
yeah, it's 58cm c to t. 57cm top tube c t c though. Also lol Malaysian.

• #15574
perhaps I should have stuck with black...

sorry walm didn't mean to shit on your build...
If everything that was gold (+the bartape) was black, it would look good to me.
as well, shorter bars, layback post.... etc
Yes, Gili T. I miss i too.
Sorry if it was the wrong thread.
