that literally made me want to gag!

Agreed... red chain is purely functional

FFS Balki.
Red = fast
Red chain attached to fixed drive = constant fastnessProblem engineers?

Or just some real cages and straps..
And lose the spoks. The spoks are fine, dual spoks looks good imho.

police electric bike nice tight geometry and clearances

I'd put a big dummy style rack on it and soup up the electric motor, haul shit at 45mph!
I don't mind that black Brother (non-racist) with the double spoks for some reason. I think it's pretty cool actually.

Look how far the police saddle is... (s)he is almost sitting in front of the BB.

What. The. Fuck.
this fixie craze has gone too far.brb going to cry, again.

what is particularly wrong with that? odd coloured tyres aren't that offensive. Just looks like a bog standard conversion to me.

yeah it's not thaaaaat baaaad
apart from the slack chain, curly red brake cable (wtf?), and mismatched tyres -

it's one of merckx's all time greats, ruined. more money than sense

Have any braze ons been chopped off? Has it been painted over?
Wouldn't take long to convert it back to gears. Not exactly puppy killing of the highest order.
While I'm here, it's a road frame that is going to be ridden on the road, just with a single gear. I see no problems with that.

• #14592
no puppy killing this time around, but 100% anti-, admit it
-
• #14593
what was wrong with it's original groupset?
if he's so keen on singlespeed, no one's telling him to change gear.
or, if he wanted a track bike, he clearly has enough money to buy a decent one. -
• #14594
if it were in a stack of bikes I honestly wouldn't give it a second glance..
@MacNall - who are you to tell him what to do with his frame/money? He's clearly not joining a track league on the thing, just riding it on the roads. Get over yourself.
-
• #14595
weight saving, innit? that why he got rid of "original groupset"

Meh.. Personally I would only have the one. If I could afford it..

It's a lovely street keirin build.
I'd love one like it.. -

Epic engineering fail, most of the weight is unsprung.

Nope - it's got a huge silver doughnut box in the middle.
Oh for FUCK'S SAKE.
