WTF?!?
http://www.blacksheepbikes.com/
29er
At Black Sheep we have redefined the 29er soft tail. We have created a unique means of suspension that utilizes our own HALTS system. This is a 6/4 Ti blade with a tensioning system on the back end. It allows 4 inches of pivotless suspension, and gives a point of removal for the back end, so the bike fits in a non oversized travel case. The stHighlight is the second frame in our Highlight series to feature our verylight tubeset. The verylight tubeset uses a proprietary butting process that saves 1lb when compared to a conventional ti frame.

http://www.cyclingnews.com/tech.php?id=tech/2008/features/rocky_mountain_bs108Fort Collins, Colorado builder James Bleakley took home the 'Rocky Mountain Builder of the Year' and 'Rider's Choice' awards for his array of swoopy titanium rigs. Highlighting the collection was the ZAMer with its monstrous 36" wheels, artful truss-style fork (with over 100mm of rake for proper handling) and beautiful twin-tube titanium chain guard.
Truss forks also graced a pair of slightly more conventional 29ers, one of which bore clever telescoping chain stays to adjust chain tension. According to Bleakley, the truss design (which we first saw on Jeff Jones' stunning rigs) is lighter than conventional forks, provide a far smoother ride and can be custom-tuned depending on the rider by altering tubing diameters.
Also on hand was a slick 'scorcher' fixie with a bowed cruiser-type frame, faux lugs, a custom titanium fork and beautiful three-piece titanium handlebars.

I don't think Glenn Tipton really does it for fixedfreak (max).

wtf the chain is on the wrong side???
almost certainly as he's running a cog that bolts on to the brake disk mounting. difficult to run fixed and disk brakes as I don't know of any hubs that have a disk mount and a fixed (ie reverse) thread for lockring.
though of course this raises a whole new set of questions...

That's weird. I would have just used that Surly thing that replaces the cassette body on hubs. A fixator or something?
The way the hub and rear brake are set up looks, um, brave. I'm not sure I'd feel comfy running it like that.

Might as well take the rear brake off it won't be doing anything.
A) its a cable disc which generally are all piss poor
B) as soon as he rides it some lube will fling off the chain onto the disc and render it completely useless. -

what about the handcuffs? ;)

I disagree with that, cable discs (especially with large rotors) are as/more powerful than a good V-brake setup, bith with lots more contollable modulation (right word?)

It's a bike lock isn't it?

these work OK despite having a chain near the brake

alot of people rate avid bb7 as the best brakes around
its much easier to carry a spare brake cable in a 24hr race and in place like iceland hydraulic brakes can freeze
Bah, his PAC isn't even broken in, hipster.
