Not sure what the vegan take on this would be… Oliver? Using a photo of an animal-based artefact rather than the animal itself? Where would you stand on this if it were an exhibit in a gallery using the actual objects from the photos (and I use the term 'object' carefully, but correctly I think)?
I'm not sure I understand the question. Of course there's nothing non-vegan about posting a photo of a dead animal. Lots of vegans do it themselves to illustrate cruelty against animals.
It would certainly not be in keeping with the vegan ambition to avoid, as much as possible, the use of animal products (and consequent instrumentalisation of animals), to create artworks out of animal parts, although there would inevitably be the 'roadkill debate' about whether the bit of animal used might have just been found in the street or something.
Somewhat surprisingly, I'm not an oracle of veganism, though, and vegans have quite a few disagreements on issues like this, too.
(If anyone wants to discuss vegan issues, the thread for that is here: http://www.lfgss.com/thread34013.html. Please don't derail this thread any further. :) )

that brown mercian is fucking bonkers. how do you ring that bell?
and where do you even get pieces of drop bar like that?
-
• #245
AFAIK they were design for touring bicycle with flat bar, most notably the Rohloff shifter for example can only go on a flat bar (unless you have a bar extension), or simply prefer to ride with a normal flat bar and want to have drop as well;
Not the best of example, but you get the idea.
