But you don't have a maestro barista to make it though.

You sayin' we're not maestros?

Do you have a polo top with it written on the back?

To make it easier than deciding myself, can anyone recommend a nice rich fruity coffee that'd work well in a stovetop 'machine' that I can get in central London?

Monmouth Costa Rican Finca Las Lajas (natural process). It'll work well for that, and it's got plenty fruit. It works well for all methods I've tried, ie. filter to espresso.

I'm pretty sure that's exactly what I'm using in my stovetop at the moment. Is good.

How much?!?!
Hope they were worth the price tag?
Sadly, it was just good but not great; although I didn't expect it to be TBH. Too much hype about it. It was just a nice floral jasmine flavour but you've got to try these things.
Thinking about this though if you get roughly 12 or 13 double shots from a 250g bag you're effectively paying about £1.70. Add a few pence for milk/sugar if you take them and you're still paying less than 2 quid per coffee.
Plus no screaming kids, no queue, no irritating music, no debating whether or not to buy a tiny overpriced cake, no having to go out in the cold.
So actually jdp, your Hacienda was a total bargain :)
Current rate at my "local" is £1 for a double espresso :) so maybe saving a bit more than that!!

I rejoined the forum under a different username so gotta get bang back on the posts!! obviously love coffee, im favouring a nescafe crema in the mornings, surprisingly good for an instant coffee and also hazelnut instant by Jaccqs and Littles, good gear, especially in flapjacks, always make up a littles espresso and pop it in the cake mix.
As for beans i found coconut ground by littles again, mad stuff worth a try

Obvious troll is obvious?
At least say you prefer Kopi Luak (sp?).

Follow-up Guardian article picking holes in the argument that excessive coffee consumption is bad for youfs (discussed above):

On that note, got my bag of beans recommended for aeropress from Pact yesterday, trying it for the first time now. Bloody lovely. Going to drink about 4 cups of it I reckon.
