It's "blended" - I need to finish the Tank Coffee Cameroon Hosnia I'm on before it hits the grinder though...

Left to blend for myself.
I just blend far too much on coke and hookers.
Blend of the world as we know it.
My god you are a fucking blend. -

Go for something that evokes the Borders: Blend à Carlisle.

that video wound me up for some reason and it had nothing to do with starbucks itself for once.

"Blogger" did it for me.

Perhaps one for the confessions thread but... I've been making affogattos after hot-rides. The thought of them gets me home a little quicker.

argh the self satisfied smugness of that video is still getting to me.

Back to names: "Ow, I got my blend caught in my flies."

I was thinking of 'will it blend' and doing the chap who used to put expensive electronics in his companies blender to market it on youtube as the picture on the front.

I used to work at Starbucks, oops. To be fair though, I didnt even drink coffee before I got a job there from a mate, they sorta started my love for the black stuff.
I remember when I was working in Norwich, on a staff training day, and the trainer guy said, "I challenge you to find a better cup of Espresso in Norwich". I think I won that challenge, multiple times...

god have the trainers really drunk the koolaid then. do they believe their swill is actually the best out there?
shudder

The invention blend of the lot is unsurprisingly very busy. Starts with what Mr HB would call a whole heap of funk, ends with an orange sherbert sweetness. I think a more subtle blend will make the final cut.

Red Roaster, in Brighton, have a very nice Bolivian (not single estate however) to purchase at the moment.

Fuck me, even though there are some very good independents in Norwich, Costa & Nero easily serve "better" espresso than Starbucks*.
- As clarification, I haven't drunk in any of those chains for years but Nero was just passable many years ago.

Actual question, is single estate generally better?
I'd imagine that the same would apply as with wine; one grape variety is fine, and so are more, it just depends on the taste profile you're looking for.
Or no? -

Every Nero I've ever walked past stinks of burnt coffee. I keep walking.

Or no?I don't know either tbh, I just put it in to clarify.

Sounds about right!
It is shite now and has been for many years. This was quite a few years ago when it first opened. I think they had a few staff that knew what they were doing but it didnt last long (and the beans were never that good). There were no decent independents in Norwich then and I had to get the train down to London and visit Monmouth to get decent beans. -

^ This.
The only Nero I ever used was the one in Lewes. Burnt coffee in an over priced paper cup put me off...
Blundered to perfection?
