Is an aeropress suitable for making a single short, strong coffee? Is there such thing as a mini aeropress? aeropressino?
I'm looking to replace a 1 cup moka pot which I think made ~ 60ml of quite nice coffee.

...electrical problems? I can fix that!
If its tripping the rcd in the fuse box that won't help.

3 cup minimum.
Ikea do a cheap stainless steel one if you are worried about aluminium.
PS Have you people tried the Ikea coffee or beans?

I do the faux-americano by making a double shot with the aeropress (espresso grind, 45s or so). Never tasted it without extra water though.

I tend to drink single, or occasional double shots (with a little sugar) and I don't want to waste hand-ground coffee each time.
Keen to hear if anyone does this with an aeropress before I go back to a moka pot.

anybody could recommend a good place for a good coffee opening around 8:30 in chancery lane area?

Not Socks, but still interested! Given my knack of spilling coffee (in fact any liquids) this could promptly be as relevant on this thread as 'Oh Shit moments' :/

Indeed - think they have just opened up on Park Row.

Hopefully nobody mines me posting this (I'll put it in a proper classified thread in a few days but someone here might be interested first).
I've upgraded to a Gaggia 105 so my old Evolution is for sale. It's been regularly de-scaled and recently had the group head seal changed. It's a well used machine and has some knocks and scrapes on the casing, functionally it's fine though. The portafilter doesn't have a spout (it was plastic and cracked).
It also comes with a 58m heft madebyknock tamper with a walnut handle (only a few months old)
£35 for the machine
£25 for the tamper
£55 for the pair -
