http://alzheimers.org.uk/site/scripts/documents_info.php?documentID=99I wouldn't worry too much about aluminum and Alzheimer's - also I find that the taste is different from stainless, but not worse.
There is circumstantial evidence with al and Alzheimer's, but the aluminium industry has funded a lot of research to muddy the water.
The link with dialysis dementia is irrefutable though...

What, me worry?

Pro tip from Daveypants:
If you want to clean your Porlex burrs but don't have the recommended grape nuts, don't use rice because it is too soft and will get stuck, and definitely don't use popcorn unless you want to spend £20 on new burrs.
;_;

You're not meant to cook the rice first.
Srsly tho, just dismantle it and wash everything. Takes minutes and looks like new.

Since J. started using this for baby feeding, we've enjoyed making more milky coffees via the classic.

Getting consistently good microfoam, and only a slightly different taste in the coffee than with moo-milk.

I've got a bag of Climpson's new seasonal espresso blend (spring). They seem to really know what they're doing. Just really well balanced, the right roast, and easy to pour.
Also grabbed some "high roast" espresso beans from Valvona & Crolla delicatessen in Edinburgh while I was home at the weekend. Classic Italian espresso. Super dark, oily, and treacly. It's a nice change, and it's great as straight espresso.

Anyone tried Hasbean's Ethiopean Kebel Kanga Washed? I liked the Wote Natural so thinking of giving this a go.
-
• #7691
Does the guy off here make that?
I wouldn't buy it.

"This coffee is a powerhouse. It would roll up its sleeves and get down to business - if it had any sleeves. A flavour that gives you a great big hug despite a strangely disproportionate body."

hoping the next hasbean guest espresso will turn up today...
This one gives you the chance of winning the price of your coffee back. Each bag will have a member of the Has Bean Team on it. At the end of April on the 30th we will have the race that decides the winner. If your team member wins then you send in a photo of your pack with the limited edition number showing and you win the price of your coffee back in hasbean vouchers.
In the cup expect big sticky sweetness, with a hoof of a kick in the guys of boozy fruitiness with a dark chocolate overtone and a big (horse)body and galloping aftertaste that I bet you will love.

I think it sounds like a good blend. Similar proportion of Wote to the latest Blake blend.
I have considered making my own Wote/Cachoeira blend as they are both totally cracking.
-
• #7695
I've got both those ready to go in a few days. Might try blending a little too...

no sign of mine yesterday, assume it's on it's way after easter holidays backlog is cleared.
also each bag has a name from the hasbean staff on it, at the end of the month they'll be having a contest and the bags with the winners name on will get a voucher for a free bag of coffee.

I've been using Monsoon estates beans for a couple of years now, It's usually roasted the day I pick it up and they always have new blends and single origins in. I get a lovely shot out of my little gaggia classic with them
