  • LMNH have a mobile coffee cart.

  • ^^ The Tweedrun I went to had a very good one, maybe ask Ted or Jacqui - or await someone else in the know on this thread - for contact details?

Jacqui is probably the person to ask.

  • Cheers !

  • There is an interesting Aeropress metal filter on Kickstarter - it looks a lot more refined than the Coava effort.

Pretty cheap if you become a backer now

  • Coffee, I appreciate you

  • I do too! This morning made me think of this:

    Pea, I know

  • Sub £200 machine recommendations?

That's right, no gentle opening questions, wade in with both feet.

  • Can anyone think of anywhere within spitting distance of kings cross (or en route back to stoke Newington) where I can pick up some decent beans? Am running dangerously low and my usual vendors of Monmouth or nude espresso are a bit beyond a 40 ish minute lunch break dash. Is caravan on exmouth market any good?

  • Break into Hippys office

  • Any one of about a thousand coffee joints on Clerkenwell Road/Old Street if you can palate Square Mile? Not sure what's on offer where at the moment as I haven't been there for months but Prufrock on Leather Lane usually have the best variety around there.

i never really liked the results I got from caravan beans but only ever used 'em in an aeropress so not sure what they'd be like coming through at high pressure.

  • LMNH sell Square Mile beans...

  • And shirley Monmouth in Covent Garden is less than twenty minutes cycle there a quick queue and twenty back?

  • any recommendations for hight st/supermarket coffee beans (or pre-ground at a push)?

When in a tight corner I've found Sainsbury's do some kind of organic kenyan whole bean thing that's not too bad.

I don't mind the M&S Kenyan beans, but I'm no expert. To me Illy and Tesco's Finest taste pretty bad.

I'd be interested to here of good value beans (either high st, supermarket or mail order). I already spend too much on coffee.

  • Anyone have any reccomendations for a good morning coffee in brixton? Stranded south of the river for the night (shudder) so need advice

  • ^ Probably a bit late now but Federation.

I've had pretty good experiences with Caravan on espresso and drip filters and handily for you, they're a couple of days away from opening a new cafe in Granary square in the new CSM building.
