I can't believe there's a 3grp just sitting here unused..
Hers was only a 2 group one, i'll get back to you when I find out what it is.

My kitchen is small - 3grp is too big (otherwise I'd have nicked that La M already!).
1grp is best. 2 would probably squeeze in (read: hippy throws out every other kitchen item to install it)

Finally got round to paying the bean man on Delancey street a visit. I like that he's cheaper than Monmouth, super close to my house and does 125g bags (so that I can try everything without it costing me a bomb) but his espresso grind is on the coarse side of a good cup. If anything, it's the coffee's way of telling me to HTFU and buy a grinder...

i'm getting shown how to roast beans this week. the same dude is also hotrodding the grinder.

lovely to see a coffee thread on the forum. Im a roaster based in Brixton. Im roasting a batch of Nicargua Limoncillo Coffee at present. Have a look at the link for my roasting style. I like to roast dark, for a filter coffee but can also grind and roast for espresso drinkers. getting some good reviews and always keep things interesting by roasting different coffee's usually from Central or South America. Roast upon request... so its fresh ;)

Did any of those mad Clover coffee machines ever make it across from the US? The ones that Starbucks bought out just to make sure no-one else could have them?

Nice to see a home roaster on this. You getting those oils on the coffee straight out the roaster or is that after a few days?
-
• #2213
cheers
its a pleasure to be on such a popular thread. roast the Cuba Turquino Lavado well into second crack.... oils shine through straight after the roast. I deliver by bicycle by the way...

penny university: pure genius. only six seats, menu consists of three different beans (each with a different brewing method). that's it. no takeaway, no milk, no sugar. but a really well-educated coffee brewer, willing to give you lots of info on both beans and process. my favourite quote from him: "we're decidedly against choice." i looooove places like this.
oh. and the coffee is... amazing.

It would be for me, if they were snobby, which they certainly wasn't. Me and 2 friends shared 2 cups of coffee (3 was the plan) to be able to taste all 3 kinds of beans, and they were happy to do, and only charged for two cups even though we tripled the washing up
