Coffee Appreciation

Would it be possible to make latte art in the shape of an atomic bomb explosion? I'd really like that in a proper strong cup

New(ish) coffee shop on Rathbone Place called "Tapped and Packed".
Can recommend their espresso, made with Square Mile beans, with a lovely treacly aftertaste
£1.50 for a doppio.

The best coffee ever is to be found in Camden. I think the place is called Gilgamesh. The muffins there are also tremendous!

Gilgamesh is great. Haven't tried their coffee but they do their big feast meal cheap from Monday-Thursday I think. They also have some mad sail on the roof that they pull back when it's sunny.

i think Lawrence at fullcity makes a really good flat white, and he only charges 1pound and he gives you a caramelised biscuit to enjoy too. i think that's really great.

Had a proper nice cappuccino at Bar Music Hall on Curtain Rd. today. In fact, I had two.

They came with one of those tasty biscuits too.

And he's possibly the friendliest chap I've ever met.
Went in yesterday at lunchtime for the first time despite working about 300 yards from there.
Coffee and a biscuit for a pound (and not bad coffee at that) and while we were waiting a good chat about bikes. He also got me involved and talking to a couple of other regulars.
Hugely welcoming and a lovely experience left me with a smile the rest of the day!

It's currently an office prop for making squeaky noises inferring a certain slowness to some of our software and/or IT infrastructure.

How is it? If it's anything like mine it takes a good 5 minutes to grind out enough for a double shot. Which is fine when you only want one, pain in the arse when you want to make a few though.

I've been using prepacked beans for ages. I'm too lazy to head to Monmouth or order from Square Mile or hasbean.com every week. I think hasbean has a subscription style thing you can do (so does SM IIRC) so that would be a good option but I've not sorted it yet.

I want a new machine..

I've got a friend who's looking to get rid of one, can't remember what it was though.
