I've run out of coffee : (
I'm having 5 apples instead.

I've never run out of coffee for a morning before. Not in 18 years.
-
• #18854
How's the caffeine content in the apples?

I very nearly did by Yellow Bourbon delivered next day without even paying extra.

This is me today too until 11am

I ran out during lockdown when we were shielding so couldn’t go out and get any more. Then food. Then tea. That was fucking shit. Never been so happy to see sachets of Nescafé in our emergency food box from the council!

I'm on my eighth Cripps Pink.

Is the Mignon significantly quieter than the Baratza?
The Mignon seems slightly quieter but they are both pretty noisy (as grinders tend to be), so I wouldn't suggest noise level would be a reason for buying it.

Faustino is made by Eureka as is the Mignon series, FYI.
@ChasnotRobert, I don't have my Silenzio yet but from what I've seen online it seems to be much quieter than many other grinders - which model do you have, the original Mignon? -

Got caught out by Yellow Bourbon too! Not in a bad way mind, I just wasn't expecting my coffee to turn up the day after I ordered so I'd already gone out and bought two bags of Ozone to tide me over

Specialita
It probably is quieter compared to other grinders, I was just saying that they are all quite noisy, in my experience.

• #18864
Ah ok, thanks.

• #18865
Thanks all. Mignon Filtro sounds like the one.

I've started getting beans from Carnival in Penge and have been really impressed. The beans are really nice and they always seems to get delivered same day by bike (SE23).
Anybody else tried them?
-
• #18867
Interesting, I didn't know that was the case.
I've no real comparison to call upon (I had the sage smart-grinder before the gearbox gave up the ghost in a vaguely dramatic fashion) but it is significantly quieter than that.

Next day for YB for me too! Was nice because I had actually run out.
Wish they'd put a tick box for minimal packaging. They dont always see my request not to ship in individual 250g boxes...
-
• #18869
I'd just resigned myself to having no coffee today. Which beans did you get?
-
• #18870
I couldn't be bothered with the varying speed of delivery to ROI during lockdown so just bought a roaster. Obvious choice really.
-
• #18871
Ah sorry about that. The coffee is usually already packed in 250g boxes when the order comes in, just for efficiency. We can’t reuse the box if we don’t send it because of the roast date stamp.

Now that's dedication to coffee. What did you get?
-

First got a little Nuvo Eco hand roaster: http://sonofcoffee.com/nuvo-eco-ceramic-coffee-roaster-review-nv-1chr/
Then around a month or two ago a Bocaboca 250: https://dailygradient.com/first-coffee-roasts/
Quite fun playing around with and got some great roasts so far!

No apologies needed! Just a bit of a packaging nazi now days. Useful boxes though...use them to ship stuff I sell on eBay!
If you're looking for a quiet grind, I'd thoroughly recommend the Rocket Faustino. I managed to pick up in a sale for £50 more than the Mignon and it's a lovely, well built, machine
