I use the pro version in my job, its very good. But if you wanna hack one get a popcorn machine and jam thermometer. no where near as much control but it does the job.

I am getting a "3 way tap" installed next week.
Just type 3 way tap in AliExpress and you will find loads of options.
I then followed @StevePeel suggestion and used Andrewswater.co.uk to get an inline filter.
The cartridge is £100 and good for 3,000 litres

Been reading through the thread wow things can get technical on coffee.
I've been enjoying vietnamese coffee atm. Sweet condense milk and drip drip thing
also really nice over ice, but need to get my milk levels correct or it's bit too sweet -

Have you tried the egg version yet?

Argh. Best post dinner coffee ever.
Closely related is the Thai iced red tea served with condensed milk. Also delicious.

I think I'll take the plunge and try it for my breakfast coffee tomorrow. Might put a couple of slices of bacon in too.
To be honest, I bet it's delicious!

The water where we live is bastard hard. We have a bestmax water filter that feeds the coffee machine, fridge and a couple of drinking water taps. There is also a salt softener which feeds the dishwasher, washing machine and hot water. There are some cold water taps in the house that just have unfiltered mains water.

We saw that on a TV show once and went through a bit of a phase making them. They're nice but so sweet. Same as the other weird coffee we tried, the "bomba" which is basically a shot poured over condensed milk or vice versa.

Funny enough, I was trying to get a properly OTT set up since I am getting a new kitchen.
Andy from Andrewswater was very pragmatic as did not want to upsell me otherwise I would have gone for a bigger set up (not the colonic irrigation one).
I ended up with this:
https://www.andrewswater.co.uk/claris-medium-undersink-diy-filter-system-with-premium-tapBeware as the cartridge with the head is about 60cm so will not fit everywhere.
And my ECM will be plumbed in, as well as a "budget" 3 way tap

Just ordered a broken Iberital MC2 for £20. Seems like simple electrical faults are quite common. Hope I can get it working.

It's a "Café Bombon" I'm thinking of not bomba. Getting my drug mixed up this morning.
Cold Brew and Tonic is the way.
Cold brew concentrate as your shot and tonic is the mixer
