Just got myself a 1litre Hario Mizudashi cold brewer. Paired up with a beautiful Rwandan Gisuma from Weanie Beans and it's fantasic. Doing about 40 grams medium-course ground, 800ml ish water, brew for 4 hours in the fridge then water down 50/50 to drink. Really light, very sweet, almost vanilla'y. Great stuff.

^ I've been eyeing up one of those as well. Not really needed as I do cold brew in a cafetiere but...n+1 works for coffee paraphernalia too.

Just do it, it's great, and the filter is very good at stopping the fines too.

Extra coarse.
I guess it's one step finer than peaberry -

My little stovetop wemt mouldy in bottom chamber since last use (mustn't have dried it proper).
Currently soaking it all in Cafiza, could this be pointless/damaging tho?

I accidentally poured a 100% mug of coffee from the cold water drip yesterday morning. Wow, it's like drinking two cans of Monster in less than a minute.
Flying... >_<

Worth keeping an eye on the classifieds over at Coffee Forums UK. Picked up a second hand Sage Grinder for £130. Good little piece of kit with some nice touches.

I have a Porlex Tall Ceramic Grinder going spare as I moved on to a Sage electric grinder.
I have now put it on eBay as I had no interest here but the LFGSS price still stands:
http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&id=161791251641&alt=webIt has not seen more than 3kg of coffee so it is still in great shape.
Has Bean Coffee sells them for £42, eBay for circa £30 from JP posted but you might get hit by import duties.
Happy with £25 for it.

Pact accidentally sent me someone else's coffee, it's ground for filter/V60 I think, does anyone want it? It was roasted and ground at the end of June though so lost some flavour but free to collect from Dalston or Canary Wharf

We've just started selling the Minipresso at Firebox and I got to try out the sample we had and I've got to say I was really impressed with it. One guy in the office has even decided to use it instead of his Gaggia now.
Thought it might be of interest to some of you coffee lot.

I currently use a Chemex to make coffee for my wife and me every morning. We're about to go travelling and don't think the Chemex will be practical. Is there a robust alternative?
I have an Aeropress and a single dripper but like the convenience of making two cups at the same time. I haven't had good results making two cups from one Aeropress either. -
