My favourite reaction is: "But what do you EAT?!?"
"Er, pretty much everything except meat and fish" :S

That's Imperial college for you. I've never got the reaction I get at Imperial union events anywhere else. I think it boils down to the fact that it's a science and engineering uni, there are way too many guys than girls and there are far too many foreign students (they don't mix with the other students, don't get involved with anything social - hence why we have one of the quietest unions in the country, I mean look at King's union compared to Imperial's). I like my chemistry degree, but sometimes I think I should have done philosophy instead.
Ahem, end of rant.

Haha, yeah. I get asked quite a lot if I eat fish after people realise I'm veg. Meat=fish.

Lots of people claiming to be "vegetarians" will happily eat fish and some even think chicken is ok.
They are faux-veg Kensington diet muppets. Kill them. -

in France, vegetarians often have to eat fish and chicken..
and if you say you don't drink alcohol, they think you only mean spirits!
one time I ate frogs legs, but I refused the snails. I'm allergic to mussels and oysters too, which doesn't go down well.
I dread to think how difficult it might be in some circumstances if I was vegan.
they'd probably think I meant:

mister k
Skullhead Peanut Butter in Porridge is for muscle, brains, can't be topped. Seriously.
That's possibly the best idea I've ever heard!
My favorite breakfast is either porridge, or peanut butter on toast. I'd never even thought of combining the two!
I'm gonna give it a blast first thing tomorrow!
K
100% do it, best choice you will ever make.

I'm really tempted to go vegan. I've been flicking through a book called "Vegan Freak" in work (a bookshop) quite a lot recently and it's really inspiring to go animal-free 100%. I must admit though I find it quite tough sometimes when it seems like everyone in the room is taking the piss of me being veg, let alone vegan.
I'm really tempted to start a vegetarian/vegan society at uni.

used to go out with a vegan girlfriend a few years ago. Found it a bit tricky at first, and i had severe cravings for odd stuff (i went from meat diet to vegan straight, prob not the best idea... but i was in love) but it eased up pretty quick. Didn´t mind it at all until you needed/wanted a meal away from home, it can be well tricky at restaurants, pubs etc, even though most will probably be helpful. Nowadays I´m a, I think thats the word?, pescatarian (

when i get back ukwise i will make you some vegan goodies, and share stories and recipes with you if you want. i went veggy at 14, with my gf at the time, went vegan around 18. for guys its better to go vegie first for at least 6 months, then go all out vegan, but girls should go straight vegan, according to some dodgy vegan society leaflet.
if you knife one person for taking the piss out of your veggy ways then none will ever do it again students are week.
i also think we should have a vegan fgss meet up/ potluck once a month... whose down me... Object? aidan (and sister)? any one?

cup of water
peel an apple or pear then shave into the pan
leave to soak overnight
boil up &c
serve with a spot of honeyfor extra seasonal flavour add a pinch of five spice and some raisins.

Aldi do kavanaghs Organic Jumbo oats. Tasty, cheap, paper packaging

My regular porridge, normally consumed before work or pre ride, as it normally fuels me for longest
Scott's Porage Old Fashioned Porridge Oats
Pinch of salt
Oat milk
Golden syrup (anything as long as it's not Tate & Lyle, as they're cunts)
Sometimes a bit of butter
Topped with berries, bananas, raisins or whatever is available
Normally I would microwave it, as I can make coffee while it's preparing, but tastes better prepared in a saucepan. -

Overnight oats for us, cup of oats, cup of homemade oat milk, chias, raisins, nuts. Fruit and yog in the morning.
These are my go-to from the local shops. Organic, low miles, compostable packaging and they’re the perfect texture.

^ oats + peanut butter is something I’ve never tried. UNTIL LATER TODAY.
My raw oats alternative is I do a big dollop of greek yoghurt, same of vanilla soy yoghurt, big scoop of oats, top up with soya milk. Can eat this for weeks until I am an oat-filled blimp.
haha, same for breakfast for me too. I can't remember the last time I didn't have peanut butter at point during the day. i've already had my porridge have to give it a go tomorrow...
i bet you secretly love it

haha, at first it was funny hearing people's reactions, then boring (but meat is for eating!) but now I'm just like "meh" and then continue drinking a vegetarian alcoholic beverage, i.e. ciiiiddderrrrrr (which people also find amusing)
