  • Congrats, looks sweet as. Looked like an old gate in the before pictures. Get them silver Phils/Deep V's on there and get some pics up man. We're waiting ;]

  • wow that looks sweet. nice work, cant wait to see it built

  • Mercian did a real nice job on that!!

  • jonaent (Jon) Mercian did a real nice job on that!!

if you look real close in the 2nd lot of pics you can see the old rust dimples, which at first i was really pissed that they didn't fill in or sand right back, but i think it gives it character. feck, its was built nearly 60 yrs ago.

i'm feeling all warm inside with all the thanks.

build i relaced the phils last night to a fancy pattern ;) . i'll try to put it together tonight, although it won't be with all the vintage parts, still waiting for some bits and bobs.

  • nice one dogs, looking v sweet indeed. you gonna get it ready for thurs? perhaps, let 31trum take a spin on it after closing ;)

actually dude, you should get it all built up original before christening it.

  • not sure if i'm that patient :(

here's one more pic of the frame.

  • Oh my gosh, looks simply stunning! You need to ride it only wearing vintage wool jerseys and shorts tho, so it can match perfectly!

    Ready for the L'Eroica!

PS: where did you get the frame from? ;)

  • Roberto £€$

PS: where did you get the frame from? ;)

I'm guessing he rescued it from the clutches of some shadowy figure intent on becoming the bill gates of the fixed gear frames and parts scene…

lovely work dogga - you should be well chuffed

  • roberto - did you check out the pics of me mates colnago road bike?

on me flickr with some shots of a lovely tomma track frame

  • nice one dale, finally... was so looking forward to see it. now you better build it up quick or i'll drive round with an HGV and give you a left hook

  • Very nice, mate. Totally agree about the finish, it's kinda keeps the patina :0)

  • told ya those colours would go well, nice job junks, hopefully see it thurs, for a after pub spin :P

  • i let out a small amount of sex wee when i saw those pics.

please don't fuck with the bike by putting deep-v-riser crap on it.

  • yeah, dale, for once. DROPS.

  • the vintage clobber looks more modern than some of my stuff..

not sure about the shorts though!

    look like swimming trunks!

  • thanks for the comments. built it up last night (so you get an idea), BUT this is with-out some of the vintage bits. also the colour is Orange enamel, cream enamel and lug lining is gold. :)

  • Yum again.

  • luverly. What's the stem? Also, I believe a lot of riders at the time would chop the bag loops and logo off the back of the saddle. I have one here that my father-in-law used when he used to race which has been chopped and it looks the nuts.

  • that creamsicle (creamcycle) looks like it was worth the wait. hooray for parcel force coming through in the end!

  • Nice work, dogs.

    That's proper handsome.

  • forgot to thank all the people who helped me with bits, JV, bracestower, JOS, roberto :)

i don't know the brand of the stem and bars, but are plain heavy chrome mofo's off a period track bike. i've got a lovely polished GB hidinium spear pointed stem and bars, but they are road bars :( (skull-head do u still want em?) . the saddle is an english wrights saddle similar to B17 which i have already chopped, might have a look at taking off the loops as well ;)

  • strange, i have just checked ebay and it's not on there yet ;)

  • jonny strange, i have just checked ebay and it's not on there yet ;)
