  • u don't get it, do you. back 2 hipsterville!

  • HTFU and ride brakeless, or get Scrapper who is in NY to pick you up a another fork

  • u don't get it, do you. back 2 hipsterville!

    ...no, obviously not.

I was trying to find out whether this would be a good interim solution UNTIL a new fork arrives, but hey, don't let that get in the way of your indecipherable, riotous in-gags.

  • We are all cunts on here.

  • ...don't get me wrong, indecipherable in-gags can be a riot, just so long as someone explains to me WTF is going on :)

  • I see nothing wrong with wanting to fit a brake to a bike you want to use on the road.

those who do should HTFU, lose the attitude and just ride and stop being racist FTW

  • I've got a Dia Compe on my track bike for riding to and from HH. It does the job.

  • how about, someone not being impatient, send the forks back and wait till they get want they ordered. fuck, not hard.

    no in jokes! retards!

  • :-) it's all good Unbroken1... Dogsballs just has very high aesthetic standards.
I would ask that forummer who is in the US to bring back an SRAM Front drum brake hub - $75.

I nearly bought on of those, but decided a hole in the fork crown was cheaper.

how easy is it to remove/replace those clamp-ons? wheel off job?

  • I leave the bracket on so it's a 2 minute job. You could have watched on Monday night!

..Ah, OK! it all becomes clear. You are the forum tit, say no more.

    with my night-vision goggles

  • i'm not the dick who ordered a 'track' bike and want to ride it with brakes. why not go back to your ridgeback hybrid and roll the streets of east london.

  • are you sure the BMW "gangsta track" is a track bike? the BB looks a bit low for calshot, and the head angle a bit slack.

do they list the geometry anywhere?

  • Ride it brakeless and see how you get on would be my suggestion. It's a super stiff bike and will skid pretty easy. It will only take you a couple of days practice to learn the skills to be able to ride brakeless.

If your crap at it then get them to ship the other fork over.

I think that the brake you can fit on the fork with a fitment is a V brake. Fork crown is too high for a road bike caliper brake.

  • Dogsballs: no, instead you are the forum tit that has declared himself arbiter of who can ride what with what. Why not post in a thread where you can either offer some advice about the topic in hand, or where someone gives a toss about your nonsensical ramblings you baffoon (btw. Holloway, not E London my friend, I'll be sure to keep a look out for you on your clown bike yeah?)

Davey C: Thanks, yes, probably what I'll end up doing. At least I'll have my Ridgeback hybrid to climb back on if I don't get on with it :)

  • which part of not being lazy and sending the forks back don't you get.

  • ...which part of 'I will get the brake ready forks as and when I can but they are a custom colour and I've been warned they will take ages', 'interim solution' and 'forum tit' do you not get?

  • If you are planning on getting drilled forks eventually but as you say it will take a long time to exchange these ones, then you should just get a cheapy drilled fork in the meantime (I'm sure that's possible although I know little about BMWs and their components). Clamp-on brakes cost about £50, and if you do intend to exchange these ones eventually then it's not worth the risk of scratching them with a clamp on.

  • Such a friendly forum...................

  • fuck off

I only just saw this thread, it's hilarious. I think Dale had sand in his hoohaa that day.

  • :-)

  • How do I put gears on my track bike?
