  • What ever happened that eyebrows guy anyway? I'm kinda glad he's gone though, he was a dick.

  • Irrelevant to this weekends playoff games.
So, the Saints and the Eagles get toppled, and the Seahawks face Chicago on Sunday.

  • Urghhhhhh, I'm so nervous. I woke up at 3am and have been fast forwarding through commercials. 11 minutes left in the 4th....

  • We did it! National Champs. I punctured through both my spare tubes this morning on my way in to work. I'm late, dirty and exhausted. However, today is still my day :)

  • Bodean's are running a Super Bowl feast and watch for about £25 food and drink and I'm sure a decent atmosphere!

  • Vick and the eagles are out, bam. Even though I don't want Green Bay to get very far, I'm a Bears fan : )

  • Oh and don't go to a Super Bowl feast without chicken wings.

    - Corey Redding touchdown vs Steelers, NFL Playoffs[/ame]

    :)

  • Steelers won anyway

  • yeah.
i know. I just enjoy the confusion.

  • Holy....Jets!

  • Well done Seattle, but Chicago had it covered.
    Chicago ftw!

  • think i might make this for superbowl sunday:

    def making some buffalo wings.

  • it's all about the chilli dawgs..

    Also, come on packers!

  • fuck the packers.
    chicago or Jets...
I know not who to support.
At least I predicted one championship playoff correctly....(ish)

  • have supported the Packers since I started playing Madden oh so many years ago.. need a superbowl win to step out of Brett Favre's shadow once and for all.

  • .... and i'm not sure that will happen just yet, but Aaron Rodgers will certainly take that pressure well. I watched my first american football match at Green Bay - against the Detroit Lions. Favre was outstanding....

  • I would dearly love to go to Lambeau and watch a match. Fingers are crossed they'll make it to the big match and from there anything can happen.

  • .... and i'm not sure that will happen just yet, but Aaron Rodgers will certainly take that pressure well..

    have to agree with this.
He's developing into quite the QB.

I need to go back to SF and watch some live matches. with a real crowd. Not some english polite version.

But on that note, forum trip to the UK game?
edit- there might not be one.

  • Having watched the Titans, the Predators and the Nashville Sounds (minor league baseball) I can honestly say:
My impression of American Sports Crowds is "very dull".

However, the half time shows I've seen:
Titans: The field was covered by an american flag walked out by soldiers just back from Iraq (they were stationed at,er, Fort Campbell Ky). A fly by of a B52 bomber took place.
I did not sing the national anthem."fit birds" danced along the touchline.

Predators: The mascot did jumps on a quad bike over the ice, while Motorhead played and "fit birds" fired tshirts from cannons. Also, there was a hot dog eating competition.

Sounds: There was some stupid race around the pitch. I started a mexican wave. With the words "come on man, I've travelled 4000 miles for this"

  • I've got a friend from NJ who has promised to take me to see the Phillies (baseball) at some point. The BBQs in the carpark before hand sound like the most appealing part of the whole thing.

Although there was a story about a Phillies fan who purposefully vomited on another spectator because they'd complained about them being too rowdy..

  • C'mon packers.. Just let in a soft TD 5 mins from the end of the game.

Close it out and get to the big one!

  • Now under a minute to go.. 21-14 to GB. Interception on a Chi 4th & 3.

    See you at the superbowl

  • I hoped I was going to be able to watch that today.
instead it took 5 hrs to drive up.
    fuck you puncture.
    fuck you.
