I just bought a hand down crankset, the "cinelli mystic" 165(?).
I'm looking to install it on my mash bolt 2011 green but I can't find any info on which bottom bracket lenght to use to get a good chain line. Can you help me with this?
I have a halo/cinelli rear hub it that helps?maybe I've got the name all wrong.

Anyone know what cog's I can put on a Gipiemme Special Pista hub? Normal? Same as Campag? Been ages since I've done this....
-

Pretty sure all cogs have the same thread - you just need to get the correct thread pitch on the lockring

if you took a picture of the other side and the bb / crank interface it might be easier to tell

Cheers dude... think I had a surley on my Campag Record ones at one point, maybe even still, and I doubt they are a special thread...

new chain and cassette fitted and gears setup by bike shop but when I stand up out of the saddle in the little ring, the chain is 'slipping' when I push down with force
this is both annoying and potentially dangerous (have already bruised my knee, banging it into the bars when the chain slipped on a steep hill)
how do I stop this happening? do the chain and cassette wear into each other? adjust the b-screw?

@mark1mark, probably too late but I run a 109.5mm ultegra octalink BB with 7710s and a Goldtec track hub which is a 45mm chainline - it's spot on with a 3/32 chain and White Industries freewheel.

Omniums with BB spacer a really bad idea?
-

Does anyone have a Phil Wood bb tool I can borrow this weekend by any chance?

Yes. Terrible idea. Shot a BB trying that and nearly ruined the threads on the frame. You can only use spacers on an MTB frame.

Have had a single 1mm spacer on the driveside for a couple of days, guess it's time to remove it.

I'm looking for a 109mm ISO taper, Italian threaded BB. Seem to be impossible to find.

Campa Record Pista chainset on a JIS 107mm UN54?

Phil wood with ITA cups?
-

Both valid replies but can't afford Phil on this build, And I already have the chainset (Sugino 75) haven't had experience with the whole using a JIS taper and under shooting by 2mm. Does this genuinely work?

^Sugino 75 and Campa Veloce BB works as the Transmission database states.
Hi, guys, do you think it is a good idea to drill couple small drain holes in the center of bb shell?
