  • i see a market for imported white tires...

  • the second one looks really nice

  • nice chrome

    big improvement!

  • is it my imagination, or do the 'racer' and the 'freestyler' have the same geometry? yah de yah, i guess it's the same bike.

i'm liking the racer getup much more than the sit up and beg.

  • the saddle on the racer is much higher

  • chris crash i see a market for imported white tires...

  • more like :

  • lol

  • "White tyres, Rodders, WHITE TYRES! This time next year, we'll be millionaires"

  • 'miwionaires'

  • not much diff between the two is there...

  • lol

  • :)

  • RPM Charge are gonna make serious money this year..

I was just in Decathlon and saw a Campag Xenon equipped racer for under £200. Made of scaffolding tubing obviously but £470 for a Plug? Someones definitely making money....

  • decathlon bikes are always WAY cheap, they are an enormous firm. their entry level is not light, but it isn't scaffolding tubing, their top end bikes are practically the same as the TDF team they equip.

  • I always used to pass this big Decathlon in Brittany on the motorway, wondered if the prices would be any better.
never had time to go in though, and I wasn't a roadie in those days

  • lpg "White tyres, Rodders, WHITE TYRES! This time next year, we'll be millionaires"

    Are you bugging my flat?

Anyway, the plug racer looks like the titanium framed bike from the London show. But for £469.00 it can't be...

The guy who designs the bikes told me he found a source for the green rims but they are not real Velocity Deep Vs. Note, no yellow branding stickers in the photos from the charge plug.

  • Looks nice.

Are they GXP external bearing cranks? My Bontrager ones have been nothing but a pain in the arse. Singlespeed, they were fine. Fixed - the left hand side crank arm constantly loosens up whenever I resist the pedals. I've removed, regreased and torqued up endlessly.

Square taper next time me thinks...

  • Note the "non rideable prototype" sticker.

The Charge Plug racer seems to have these, same as the original plug.

I guess the question is: is the Plug Titanium a real product or not?

  • It's a real prototype..

  • Nothing new in a while. Having left my mountain bike back in the states and now living in The City, I'm a convert to the fixed-gear cult and am liking the Charge bikes as a decent priced bike to get back on the road. Wondering if anyone has any more recent reviews of them here or if anyone has any more thoughts on them now that they've been around for a while.

  • Use the search.

  • At least it sort of takes some of the "I didn't see them" excuse away from drivers.

  • drew. A few people on here ride plugs. As far as I am aware (I dont ride one) they are good solid bikes, but they are heavy.
