  • Just a pork scratching in the lager...

  • pork scratchings, more commonly known as Niki lauder's Ears

  • Very nice Hippy I can't stand specialized bikes graphics, their graphics designers must be blind.

It does look very nice and fast. You really need to a do a 10 mile time trail on the Ribble and again on the new spech. See how much faster you go and then work out how much faster you now are!

  • cheers smeear!

I didn´t mean anything negative by it, was just a little surprised to see that top-end bikes are being made in Taiwan, not that it means anything these days, as long as the quality control is there AND as stringent as it would be in the US or UK, its all good.

  • tynan What's with the crack on the seat tube / top tube intersection ?

Jesus.. you trying to find a reflection of my house address or something? It's not a crack, it's a piece of thread, grass, hair, etc.

  • redeye cheers smeear!

Most of the prestige and not so prestige (Giant, Spesh, etc) brands are built in Taiwan. £5k "Italian" frames can be labeled as such because they are painted or "put together" in Italy.

Calm down you big queer, it was a joke, I photoshopped it on !

  • the trick is in the pic's URL

come on Hippy, you're supposed to be a computer wizz

  • I am calm.. I'm so calm I'm feckin' tired.. I'm so tired, ah forget it.

  • RPM the trick is in the pic's URL

You think I check the URL of every image posted here?

Actually, I could see why you'd think that ;)

  • It's taken me years to get over my carbon phobia.. don't fuck it up for me or I'll be forced to use your steel frames for kitchen utensils.

  • nice one...you got enough carbon there!? stiff in the right places no doubt. found carbon to be very responsive...

how much spacers you got there on the steerer, back problems?

  • nice bike but just don't lean it up against the radiator, mate did that to his and it cornered really well on left hand turns but was mare when turning right.
he managed to straighten it using a hairdryer and brute force.

  • a bike's a bike...innit, but I have to say the girl holding it looks gorgeous....who is she?

  • i fuckin love the internet… Hippy on his new ride

  • winston a bike's a bike...innit, but I have to say the girl holding it looks gorgeous....who is she?

win: My mascot. Actually a grumpy, pained Mal.

way: I'll call the Spesh Red Baron from now on.. or maybe not. ;)

  • Well well hippy, I never thought you'd go and drop that kinda cash on that kinda bike.

I always imagined you riding a 531 frame with a ultegra tiagra groupset, even as you got old and grey.

What have you got to say for yourself!?

  • hehe Well, Tiagra is nice and all but it's named just too closely to those little blue pills that I'll be taking when I'm old and grey. I would usually opt for Ultegra but DA was there so what the hell! :D
    Fsck me it shifts nice.

  • There has been a fair few lonley men* looking at that gallery your girl holding the bike has had atleast twice as many hits as any other.

SL2's are mighty fine in every way apart from the chain rings which I just think look shit.

    • a fair few of which have probably posted above.
  • I noticed that. Bunch of sad internet loners this forum harbours!
    (Should've got a pic where she wasn't miserable ;))

You're more than welcome to pay for a set of DA chainrings for me if they offend your eyes that much ;)

  • Nah, your alright. Thinking of getting a Tarmac Expert when i can get a new cyclescheme in June.

In fact I take it back on looking the ones on the SL2 are different to all other Tarmac's with SBC cranks.

  • i voted for your girls pic, i thought it was the best thing to do, she's probably pissed at you for not spending the money on her and giving all your attention to the new bike.

  • Cheers Smithy :)
