Anyone know where I can get some black silva cork tape readily?

I'm *sure *Fizik used to do a White Soft Touch version of the MicroTex tape. Can't find it any record of it anywhere. Am I simply mistaken?

Sounds right to me. I've been commuting/off roading with fizik microtex + gel for years. Currenty have grey soft touch. Feels like suede, but lasts as well as the glossy stuff weirdly.
White isnt on the Fizik site anymore.

I've used all of those sites, without issue.Fawkes is a good place for Saddles. Velosolo great for small fixie parts, and Starbike for German weightweenie parts.

PITA to fit?

I got a great NOS bar tape on my beater, it fades from all white to all blue, but I can't find it again anywheres, and I want to fit bullhorns rather than risers. The closest I have found is either:

I know there are lot of Fizik fans,anyone with experience of that particular tape? And the Lizardskins are almost expensive as leather bar tape, worth it?

I have microtex and lizard skins stuff on bikes now. I've used fizik on commuters for years. Very tough.

I usually swear by Fizik for longevity. But so far this stuff has lasted well (not many Km's TBH). I stained it black, riding in light rain wearing new black leather gloves. Then stopping and tinkering with oity parts all the time when it was new. A little washing up liquid, and it comes up like new. Its really sticky to the touch. Nothing grips like it.

This has been re.wrapped with the same tape twice (cuz I'm an idiot).

Can anyone recommend ***cheap ***black bar tape. Annoyingly Mavic guidoline no longer seems to be in existence.

Ideally I don't want anything too thick and clunky, but still with some padding.

Something I can buy from Evans would be good as there's one next to me. Charge U-Bend Bar Tape is cheap, so if anyone has experiences of that I'd be interested.

Cloth can be had for only a couple of quid.

^^ Cheers, which cloth tape? I found the cheap Velotex stuff too hard but like the Newbaum on my other bike. The only thing is I maybe switching bars at some point down the line, so I'd rather have re-wrappable tape. Still if it's Newbaum then I'd be interested.

Double-wrapped cloth might be softer? I really like cloth tape but only when it's dry.

Id avoid that stuff, its not very grippy and feels a bit cheap and nasty. you're better off getting the Deda that is only £1 more.

Been looking for a while and just want some cool, different bar tape. Not just using more than 1 colour but something out of the norm. My girlfriend would love some floral inspired bar tape for her half of our tandem yet it's nowhere to be found. I'm surprised no one has done something like this. Suggestions welcome...
