Yep, staying close to your roots there again van Uden. It's dutch just like Gazelle. They sponsered the PDM pro team amongst others which had riders like Delgado, Kelly, Rooks, LeMond, Breukink, Theunisse, v/d Poel, Alcala and many others.

Try contacting these guys:
http://www.veltec.com/Default.aspx?tabid=185, they appear to be the distributor.
Looks like theyre made by Conti/Ciocc, if that helps.

Oooooh, interesting, thanks chaps. Like you say Jos, I seem to be magnetically drawn to my roots ;-)
Can't wait to pick it up and start building. I'm thinking pale blue, maybe metallic, frame. Black seat-post, black stem and black bullhorn bars with brown Brooks saddle and brown leather bar tape. Black hubs and rims. Possibly a darker slate blue for the frame or even a sort of metallic brown/rust. Hmmm, decisions, decisions...

I believe the frames were made in Italy by Torpado. (Though at some point in the 90's Ciocc took over). They made frames from mainly Columbus Tubing. Whilst making their own brand frames, they were also recruited by companies to make signature frames for them and their riders. You may also find that their 90's whacky sprayjobs can be seen on different branded bikes. (e.g They made my Paganini frame for a Belgian department store! I saw an image on the net of a Concorde with identical sprayjob but obviously different logos and type). If you search 'torpado' you should get some info. I think they made 'Merckx' frames too.
You can see the similarities in their builds. Italian highest quality.
And yes...Concorde were Italian. I guess dating your frame will determine it's maker.
It looks like the track version of my Paganini (which has Concorde forks) made by Torpado in the early 90's.
Hope that helps a bit ;-)Quick search:

Hey,
i have a Concorde road frame and found the info on ClassicRedezvous.com to be pretty helpful.
http://www.classicrendezvous.com/Benelux/Benelux_main.htm
Not sure they were Italian though they all seem to have Italian thread bb shells.
Hope the link is of some help.

Jos, much like the '73 911 RSR n challet in the Alps it'll have to stay a want. I've just ordered a new road bike n I need a bike to do megavalanche on (plus the balls n fitness to do it) which will drain me of all my cash.
Cheers anyway.

I've got a concorde frame. I built it with a campagnolo group set my ex about 7/8 years ago. I'm trying to sell it, but have no idea what it's worth.
Any ideas??

We'll lie to you... but pics would help.
Ask on retrobike.co.uk.
Search Ebay completed auctions.
Don't sell it. -
• #21
Why shouldn't I sell it?
-
• #22
can you post this question up on a few more threads, just in case someone misses it?
-
• #23
jos has a really big one that would fit flickwg, but he's too retarded to buy a bike that actually would fit!

@ neelamruby - I was joking.
If you are looking for a valuation, at least take some photos.
No need to keep asking for info! (they are great, they are crap, they are ok.)
you could follow my other advice too - I think the Ebay search is a good bet.
@dogsballs - how much???!?!?!?!
Sorry chaps, starting a new thread to try and find out more about this frame or the company that made it back in the late 80s. Cheers.
