  • think they use concorde's at Herne Hill as their hire bikes…

  • Yes I just figured that you were joking. Am new to all this stuff!I I don't understand where I can find out if someone has responded to my post. Enlighten me please...

I will take some photos and I will try the ebay search

  • But why shouldn't I sell it???? Still confused!

  • @neelamruby -
You can see your 'New subscribed threads' in your 'User cp' (link is at top-right-ish)
This shows the threads that you have posted in recently.

  • prav call them. been there a bit, nice white frame.

  • I'm still not an official member you see, and that's probably why I can't see "user cp".

Anyway, you still haven't told me why I shouldn't sell it...

  • ok - I retract my joke. :-P

  • Still waiting for you response to why I shouldn't sell it!

  • ...because you should ride it.

  • Well it's complicated. I used to be a really keen cyclist and then had a baby! After that I didn't fid the time. Now I'm pregnant again and don't think I'll be riding much for a while. I'm going to be a single mother with 2 children...so the bike should go to someone who will actually ride it, and then maybe when I have abit more time and am abit more settled, I can buy another bike and ride till my hearts content!

  • That's abit random BDW

  • nah - title of film^^^^ = your to and fro with prav :^]

  • Sorry, don't understand what you're on about...

  • Sorry, don't understand what you're on about...

    so hope thats irony

  • I have to say...you're all not being very nice to a new member. Only provenrad (whoever that is) has actually taken me seriously.

Anyway, carry on with the piss take

  • happens all the time neelamruby. call it initiation. :D

  • get some photos, do some googling, then someone on here will give you a decent estimate at a value. best way to roll.

  • Cheers!

Anyway, I've had enough. Am going home now.

    Start on someone else!

  • Concordes are amazing bikes.
Is it a full geared set-up?
It's really hard to think of a price as some great classic geared bikes end up going too cheap on eBay. Maybe advertise it on a classic bike site or Bike Radar perhaps.

More info would be good especially with some pics.
    Someone here might buy it...

  • My late 80s Stelvio was £85 + £15 p&p on eBay, very pretty frame... now bent via Scotch & white van man, tsk.

  • When I sold cars years ago the Used Car Manager would often get calls from potential customers asking how much their old vechicle was worth.

'Back it up to the phone and rev the engine so I can hear it', was always his response.

The customer usually said they couldn't, and then realized they should probably bring it in for a legitimate quote.

Neelamruby, we're really trying to help here, so unless you can back the Concorde up to the phone and spin the cranks so we can hear it, more details like pictures, measurements and condition would be helpful.

And if really must part with your bike, sometimes breaking it down and selling the components individually maximizes profits.

  • I was lucky to stumble on a Concorde Squadra recently 1990 ish - it was a bit grubby but has cleaned up a treat. Ultegra throughout, chrome forks and rear stays, DUP18 rims, she's a beaut - £275

I'd be interested to see a photo...
