To me that TdV frame looks to be made from 731 Oversize steel, not 753.

i went out to chainlink in hornchurch on saturday that shop is great
two rare super aa time trial frames one similarish to mine posted previous page one looks like a regular bike but twith the indented seat tube campy record all over the place
an amazing carbon fibre time trial frame in the window and some lovely italian steel frames and forks in the shop looking almost NOS. then as your eyes scans round the shop other interesting bits and pieces begin to appear out of the gloom. NOS gazelle MTB frame wheels galorethe guy said he was planning to get the fluoro green TT frame up and running for himself but it does look super sweet.
The guy seemes to inmport gazelles back in the day but said he couldn't make money fromt hem as their discount was next to nothing he was buying at almost full value
fascinating bloke to talk to he seemed to be from the old school, racer / mechanic / team manager all rolled into one -

It is a crazy shop and he's a really nice interesting guy. Did you ride out to Hornchurch?
-
• #82
yeah suprisingly quickly on saturday morning
i got lucky and ended up just cycling past the place saw bikes in the front yard looked up at the shop front and there it was
he's a nice bloke isn't he took time out to talk to me about the bikes and his past as a bike shop owner
if he has those in the shop I wonder whats in his personal collection ?
from the outside you wouldn't think there was anything funky inside most 199 dual suspension mountain bikes and few cheaop racers and three or so second hand bits -

My champion mondial frame is coming up for sale soon (AA-frame).
I am looking for a smaller one as mine is 66 cm (largest) and just too big for me.
Groupset is Shimano 600 arabesque, altough not rare it is so nicely decorated I'll keep it for my new frame.
Here are some (poor) photographs, if anyone is interested befor it goes on ebay just let me know.

Gazelle's are 13 a dozen in the Netherlands, you will find them everywhere and I'm sure that wherever you go you'll be able to pick up a beater/pub fiets for €50.00 no probs. Finding track or AA frames is complete different job though.

this my gazelle (looks a bit different now, changed most of the black parts to silver)
this one belonged to ralf elshof i think he was in the same team as ron groen back in 1984, (gazelle -vredestein) i think my frame could have been used during the olympics in 1984.
I love riding this bike! -

those forks look nice
barely any rake at all@ dutch cheese
you wouldn't happen to have a pair like that somewhere in your bits box for sale ? anyone ? -
• #96
i love the wrapped seatstay en the curved thingy between the seatstays, dont like the color too much but i am keeping the original paint

I used to go to school about 5 minutes from the main Gazelle factory when I was a child, oh how I wish I could buy great cheap bikes instead of getting ripped off here in London.
Ah well.

people who re spray when it's not absolutely neccessary i feel are stripping the soul out of the bike
the old white pearlescent paint on the 80's special aa's looks lovely even when a bit battered
the blue i am sure looks lovely in sunlightit looks a big frame whats size is it by the way ?

its a 60cm, fits me quite well :)

Mine is the 1999 Gazelle, the Dutch cross-frame . . .
a tiny bit small and a tiny bit expensive although full campy record wouldbe nice kit to finish of that bike
