Saddle w Gazelle logo
Mario says this is a Selle Italia saddle, but it looks more like a Selle Royal. I doubt that.
See marking backside.
Gazelle used to do quite a lot of business with Selle Royal those days.
Still a nice saddle though. -

I hadn't the time to glue em on. The bike still isn't finished and i havn't ridden it yet. i need a distance-washer for the handlebar clamp, i can't screw it on without the washer.

Let someone please take this QUICKLY !!!
Gazelle Reynolds 531 ladies 56cm from Haarlem NL
I could have this for a give away price of EUR 30.- (full bike).
But it's a bit too big for my missus (56cm, I need a 53cm).
It's really worth every Eurocent.
Just a bit too far away for me and 3cm too large.HURRY AND OFFER EUR 50.- , otherwise a stupid Dutch guy is running away with it.
The frame is pretty rare. It's an older version semi race with large overlap stays.

Hello Gazelle Gurus
Quick question I need answering - I have a Gazelle AA Special mondiale (internal cable routing etc) and can you tell me what BB threading it would be please?
Much appreciated
Skipper

Gazelle frames with Reynolds tubing ALWAYS have English threads.
Only exception are bikes/frames with heavy plain steel tubing. These have pressfit BB-bearings. E.g. very cheap "race" bikes, touring bikes, etc. -

Thanks very much Mr Cheese. Greatly appreciated

Huh, could be. Not immediately.
Need better pics or some extra details.
Colour scheme is late 1980's, but frame and fork look a bit older.
Old, long Campag dropouts rear, shifting cable(s) along down tube, nice Mafac / Weinmann canti's.
Strange t/t and fork decals -

Yes! Stamped on the BB shell is GAZELLE and frame no. 32889974.
And the Canti's are Galli.
Headset is original too Hatta Hattaswan.
The wheels are on another bike and are 36h Mavic module 3 rims built onto Shimano Via hubs.
Dropouts are indeed Campag.
The most remarkable thing about the bike is its super short wheelbase which meant toe-overlap was an issue at first till I got used to it.I suppose this is to reduce weight and to make steering response sharper. It worked good in the icy conditions a couple of months ago! Thanks @Dutch Cheese for the info!

Another Gazelle covert.
I was wondering if anyone knew about the use of Cinelli BB spoilers on Gazelle frames. I've got one on my AA Special (which I think dates from 1990 judging by the serial number), but wondered what the history was as it looks great. Also read on a forum that Cinelli are putting the spoiler back into production? Also got a 'Gazelle' Stronglight headset, but less impressed with that to be honest. Here's a link from Tel's flicker (who very kindly sold me the bike):
Thanks,

You could be right about the year 1990.
This was one of the 1st series with the Cinelli spoiler bracket.
It looked cool, saved the frame builder from brazing the cable guides and, according to Cinelli, the spoiler design helped to suck water out of the BB-shell.In practice, it was a nice variation on the traditional cast iron Cinell BB shell.
Back in production? Nice. Will not cause a revolution in the cycling industry. Cannot be used on most carbon and alu frames.
No BB30 fit either.Stronglight had pretty good headsets. Type A9.
Don't know if Gazelle got it with their own logo. -

My personal favourite is the 1981 Hennie Stamsnijder Cyclocross edition.
Selling is not the intention, since these have never been for sale. Only handed out max. 1x/year to employees and customers in special occasions. E.g. as reward to optimize production/product/distribution, etc.
Just don't remember why I deserved them. ;-)If someone however offers a crazy lot of money, takes them all in one shot and will pick them up personally... don't know if I can resist that.
Every now and then 1 piece at a time is offered on Marktplaats (by other people).

Yeah, I know that.
The poster has been hanging for years on our ceiling.
World's in Tolosa.Hennie is a very nice guy.
We've been colleagues for several years and we still speak or write each other every now and then.
