  • I had dream about a gazelle track frame last night, it was beautiful but owned by a vicar who intended to keep it just for show!

  • Finished!

interesting looking bikes ? from the fivenine climber website and a 1984 catalogue

  • That is amazing, they actually produced a stayer's bike in their regular lineup. I wonder how many of them they sold a year?

Oh, my Gazelle Champion Mondial (previously mentioned in this thread) is up for sale here

  • one of those stayerbikes was for sale a few months ago in belgium, i think its was 450,- euro he wanted for it

  • That stayerbike is nuts, stupid question perhaps but what are/were the benefits of using it on the track? Inverted forks are I presume to get closer to the pacer?

  • Finished!

Nice set up VanUden. Is that a Brooks B17 done by Skully?

  • yes its all about getting as close as possbile to the pacer

  • yeah they ride ride up close to the triumphs and the front wheel actually nudges the rollers on the rear of the motorbike
its just so they can get as close to the motorbike and the aero benefit as possible

  • Nice set up VanUden. Is that a Brooks B17 done by Skully?

Thanks, it certainly is a Skully Chop, with a bit more leather left behind, a prototype SkullySwift no less :)

  • Looks like he did a nice job there. Might have to ask the man himself soon to do a job for me.

I'm keen myself on a Gazelle track frame if anyone sees one coming up please let me know.

  • get in the queue

  • Perhaps we could make a list?

    1. Dicki
    2. Jaw

    and in that order !

  • Right have been scrounging quickly, too small for me I think http://link.marktplaats.nl/281963341

  • heres a pic of my gazelle from when i first picked it up. few things have changed since then
planning on eventually having it restored, although i find the original paint job has a nice charm to it

  • oooh that's a nice one!

  • Very nice and tight, can't see why you'd want to restore it though, it'd be the last thing on my mind.

  • it has a bunch of chips and scratch's, nothing too major hence it will probably only happen sometime down the line.

    and thanks!

  • BAANFIETS is the key word
