If you're in a hurry to get on a fixed/fixed (does it really matter? sigh ), getting a Charge Plug would be a good start. Then seeing as you like Raleighs so much, getting looking on ebay for a vintage frame you can build up. Believe it or not, people will give you advice on doing it, or you can search the threads for help.
Actually, search first, or you'll be crucifed even more..... -

OK so after failing to find a decent single speed bike for my girlfriend on gumtree and on here. I am going to do it the old fashioned way and go to a shop.
Does anyone know a decent shop where I could acquire one for less than £200? Went to Lock 7 near Broadway Market but I feel the hipster tax is quite severe in there, and their selection is rather tiny as well.
Also if anyone has a bike for someone in the 5''6 region. That would be perfect.
Also, she has a horrible heavy crap bike right now which she has called Mufasa. If anyone has any better names for bikes, I would love to hear them.

Yeah that is all good and well. But these are rather expensive. BLB, Bike14co and Tour De Ville (Didn't they go close down?).
Just looking for a cheap option. Ah well. Guess I will make a list of all shops and go check them all out.

The best I could find near £200,- new is http://www.winstanleysbikes.co.uk/product/22074/SE_Racing_Draft_Lite_SingleSpeed_Bike_2009 don't think its good, BUT its SS and its new. For the rest you get what you pay for in this case a £234,- SS bike.
