First single speed project - help!

I've just built my first single speed and its got 46/18 gearing.

I love it but I'm a old bmx rider who hammers the pedal everytime!

Hi, very new poster so hope i don't break any rules..

I'm looking to buy a single speed/fixed gear bike. My current old french racing bike single speed conversion has broken yet again and i refuse to spend even more money repairing it when its too small for me already.

So.. looking to buy a new one... or second hand.... sort of price range up to 600 (i've recently got a grant), I was looking at the fuji feather and tried one out at evans... which was quite nice to ride but i think looks horrible.

Any advise would be much appreciated.

The revolution track from Edinburgh bikes is decent, especially if you can get one on sale at £260. The only immediate upgrade I'd look at is the freewheel if you don't want to ride fixed and possibly the the chainring.

The Eastway track is a nice bike. Rrp is £750 but places have them for sale under £600.

Pink £375. Bargain. 2013 is where it's at.

go second hand, depreciation on new bikes is massive.
