Needs a Bruce and Sheila reference too and something about wombats

Bruce is the nickname of an Aussie mate of mine (those clever brits) and I know a Sheila (as opposed to sheila) so that's all too confusing. More wombats though for sure. The missus has also confused Kookaburras with galahs so no doubt that joke will run for the next 20 years...
I'm sure there was a Slow Wombat food stall in Viccy markets...

Only 285 euros if you get in early. Think I'll stick to spannering myself on non-portable jumps.

With the expected forecast and me being total shit, should I not bother with my 'almost certainly filled with dirt in minutes' Speedplay setup this weekend? It's supposed to be a race but I think just getting around might be the name of the game and so I'm thinking of flats w/ old skate shoes. 3hrs of it though. Hmm

Cross post from bargain thread but applicable to most here..

I've no idea what speedplays are like, but I'm riding in Thetford Forest on Saturday, so can give you a good idea of current conditions.

Which race? If you mean road speedplays...well, no - that aint gonna work. Frogs or the new MTB ones, yeah of course. But then you wouldn't need to ask...

That Thetford 3hr thing I mentioned a while ago is this Sunday.
Because I ride midfoot, I now ONLY have Speedplay as a proper option and didn't feel like modifying another pair of shoes for one race. Maybe if I decide to race some 24hr MTB events I will have to look at dirt-safe alternatives. Problem is with MTB shoes, the built up bits meant to sit next to SPD pedals are too far forward. If I modded road shoes with MTB cleats they'd rock side to side a bit.
I thought about modding my old Dominators but seems a bit silly unless I start doing more of this. Anyone want some 47 Mega Dominators? -

Ah. I get it. Bummer. But also interesting.
