It seems that if you even dare to show up with single crown forks you need to GTFO - it's like a Boxer close out sale at Planet X

I would love it/die

I REALLY REALLY REALLY don't understand why 11 speed MTB would be compatible but not road.
Because you can offset the big sprocket and have it hang over the spokes
Oh, yeah, you figured it out :)
The bike industry is bonkers, like a rabbit hole

This is probably why I've been
ridingpushing a singlespeed up the hills for the past 4-5 years. -

Slaves to marketing hype Howard, thats what they are....... you need a triple clamp front and at least 8" rear travel to ride down a mountain...... thats what sells bikes, and i bet most of them drag the brakes making the braking bumps even worse.
Fuck it, fuelled by red wine and found my old memory stick, some hardtail vibes for Howard the mountain slayer :)
Again at the fort, i am not allowed out of the UK so haven't ripped the Alps a new one.

This is when you need a BTR hardtail with Shiver SC forks.

Shaggy beasts, don't ride into these, it will hurt lot's, not as much as pissing off a bear at Whistler, if you see an Alpine cow, nick it's bell for next years Red Hook Crit, if you see a St Bernard....does it have a barrel of Brandy on it's collar :)

Will have to make do with this

Warriors of Genghis Khan* would ride hardtails.
Mine and another random mountain slayer from Norco that didn't race just went for jollys.*name that bad band and get a videro link to work in the UK :)

Nice, but Shiver SC forks would mess with their minds by being the lighter version of some respected
moto-xdownhill triples. -

My Atomlab Pimp2 about to fall off the cable car...... i was hanging out the window trying to grab the back wheel incase it jolted off the car and into freefall.
It survived to only punch a hole in my leg later on......

Jesse, a very scary person indeed.
I think he was pulling 5.50-6.00 min laps down Fort William, he pissed off a lot of big bike riders :)

My Atomlab for the 6hour Downhill Enduro at the fort, after 7 laps i was a bit broken and had a hole in my leg.
Apart from crashing through the Deer fence crossing (i touched the back brake and went sideways over the cattle grid) the Atomlab was brilliant, bit harsh on the ankles with the compact rear triangle, but did what i told it and went where pointed.

Is that the UK DH HT champ denim jacket?
-
• #7220
No it's mine, my alter ego is Ace, i used to arrange the HT champs.
The last Champ with the denim jacket was Lewis Bateman on the Dirt 1.04 track more commonly called super Tavy at Gawton, think Lewis slayed that in 2.10mins on a single speed with Dj3 forks.I have the studded ACE cafe jacket :)

Howard, a photo of a dusty hardtail, lent up against a stack of dual sussers, outside an alpine town bar is needed for the forum.
Enjoy the holiday old chap :) -

I did wonder, recognise the blue forks. Used to admire from a distance on SDH.
This is my understanding too. Shimano 11spd mtb Cassettes should be compatible with 8/9/10spd Shimano type freehubs.
As for road gearing compatibility.....
