I'm not opening my lefty up.
Then again my self confidence is shot, from trying to rebuild a Campy 11 speed Super Record shifter. So very many little pieces. Such chunky fingers.
Following a YouTube video. Trouble is each time the skillfull italian installs a circular spring. I mistakenly scream CUNT, and open a beer.

Bikes are simple. Leave them alone.
This is clearly ridiculous.
I'm off to check my tyre pressure and spoke tension again.

I sound like the opposite of you with my MTB Pete. I didn't check my tyre pressures before going out last time, come to some fast rocky bits and I can hear the rim dinging the rocks. Amazingly the standard schwalbe tubes are holding up well and aren't giving in to the repeated pinching I'm giving them. I think I saw 14psi when I last remembered to pump them up.

My SS fully rigid MTB is out again (and working)tonight; it and I are getting beasted. Then beer. I'll be doing this E2E on it. I'll have more fun than anyone.
It's all about attitude.

TM has a thing for buying bikes, he just can't help himself

Fair enough.
Why not then (:

upsidedown is correct, I have a problem. Thing is, back in my heady adolescent MBUK days, I always quietly lusted after a Rock Lobster or a Merlin.
I have to say I'm very happy with the Soul, if I weren't so skint after a summer spending spree though I'd buy the RL to keep the future.

PS, if that was mine, it would have more than just paint splashed all over it.
-
• #4939
I'd have one of those so that I could give it a nice paint job. The rest of the components can stay, perhaps swapping the stem for a syncros

"Double WAC"?!

Wahoo! A pair of Racing Ralphs arrived on my doorstep this morning, light, fast and nobblyish, they're on the bike already. Let's see how long before I p_nct_re them. Rutland cycles have them on special and though they're badged as 2.4 they blow up much smaller, more like a 2.25.
Shite grainy pic from this eve in the dark

I really rate Schwalbe tyres highly. Loving my Hans Dampfs. Excellent tread pattern, perfect profile, superb grip, tough casing, good weight and low rolling resistance. Heaps better than anything I've used previously (mostly Maxxis) for the type of riding I do now.

I've got a Nobby Nic on the front of my trail bike and it's been really good, I'm not sure how the RaRas will turn out as I can make them squiiiidge when I corner even with plenty of pressure in them. I'll find out tomorrow when I ride it properly.

I love High Rollers. Using the 2.35" XC version at the moment 18-20psi is perfect. Just been given a set of Rocket Rons, not looking forward to installing them with the faff it took my brother to get them on.
i have some of those infamous Marzocchi mcr' with a broken rebound cartridge, that I did quite like, if you're ever bored.
