  • I never realized 10 ft was a small drop off!

Haha! Anything over about a foot is big to me, but there's that massive drop that we looked at near the end of the last ride (called deliverance) so it's all relative!

  • HTFU Mr Brick.

  • deliverance isn't a drop-off it's just a steep roll (and a long one at that)
been a long time i have been down it though as having successfully negotiated it a dozen or so times i realised that somebody else always fell off so i figured i was due a fall too so didn't bother doing it again
i don't do jumps/drops any more as it usually results in time off the bike for such a short time in the 'air' :-) i did manage to do the log drop at chicksands on my ss hardtail though but the only reason for doing that was to prove a point to a friend wearing body armour/full face lid riding a 7inch travel DH bike that it wasn't difficult.

    pic of log plop.

  • 8:84?

    Late (08:54)

    hillbilly (its the fucking weekend!!)

With that sentiment hb. 8:84 = 9:24 even better.
But I can't get out of the house before 9 when I'm supposed to be at work by then.
Not that I think i'm even likely for this week.

If her indoors sticks to cycling to work this weekend, I might continue on after dropping her off, to try a few hours at epping.

  • +imMe you need to come and ride. No excuses, if you're not at the train station by the time I get there I'll refuse to talk to you ever again (Not that I've actually seen you in the last 9 months).

Glad that the missus is riding to work though, that kicks ass.

  • deliverance isn't a drop-off it's just a steep roll (and a long one at that)

Fair point, I was just using it for to compare sizes. It'll be a while before I do it in any case as I have an aversion to pain.

  • Don't worry momentum, I'll take your share!

  • A pavement is a big drop for me, cos i'm only short.

  • Do you mean dropping off the kerb or just riding along a flat pavement?

  • Shorty.

  • MrSmith is that a photo of Bubba?

  • yes, object, kerb, you anal cunt.

  • MrSmith is that a photo of Bubba?

no just some radom pic from flickr. you know bubba never managed the plop despite body armour and a 7inch travel norco.
i think the plop has been removed now.

  • yes, object, kerb, you anal cunt.
    You fucking know it.

  • Have we got an official plan yet?

  • Meet at station and get train to Dorking - Then someone has a map and some ideas for routes.

I think lets all just meet for the 8:54 train, otherwise we'll all get split up, and an extra 30 mins in bed is always good.

  • 8:54 at waterloo right?
    Coool.

  • Aye - think thats what someone put up a few pages back.

  • You knows it Rob M. I'll put you on the late vote.

Well so far we are at a draw.

Unless someone else who is coming votes within the next few hours I call casting vote as I organised the election and that's how it works in TheBrick land. Corruption is rife.

  • We are only equal as I have cast 2 votes :)

  • I can pretend my endorsment of hillbilly's sentiment is a real vote even though I won't be there. Is that kind of corruption ok?

  • We are only equal as I have cast 2 votes :)

    Correct! A Win!
