I, however, haven't bent a rim on anything but a bmx. Maybe I'm not trying hard enough..

For £20 I thought I'd give them a go, plus will be able to run at @pit pressures now, in my tyres that is, I'm not sure I'm strong enough to get that amount of pressure in my fork.

@pit just fills the fork's air chamber with cement

MTB shoe recommendations please

I'm riding single speed in a hilly area so lots of walking so need a flexy sole

Will be doing slow cross country rides. No radness whatsoever.

I'll be using ATACs

I have fairly wide feet

My shoe of choice has always been sidi mega but I can't find any dominators for sale.

What do you recommend? I was looking at speshy 2fo cliplite which looked the part but reviews said they come up narrow.

I think @Aroogah swears by Lake for wider feet.

I've found Lake and Specialized good, pretty much all other brands too narrow.

I have lake road and MTB, excellent shoes, not cheap

Another vote for Lake wide fit. My feet no longer hate me

Nope. Get the MTB shoes. I have used them for years for commuting. So nice and fine for walking - they are not super stiff.

I got the Giro TerraDuro mid and they’re the best shoes I’ve owned - forget you are wearing them walking round in normal mode

I've purchased and returned a few pairs of giros. They looked smart but the fit was too narrow sadly (haven't tried terraduros tho)
